Ohio Man Claims Right To Have Sex With Boys

Full story: NBC 10 Philadelphia

It was probably not a defense the court had heard before. A suburban Cleveland man accused of sexually assaulting nine disabled boys told a judge Wednesday that his apartment was a religious sanctuary where ...

although the guy is clearly a horrible person, I hate more than anything how marijuana is always described in negative connotation in news stories.

It seems as if the government/mass media is always very keen on grouping marijuana and marijuana use with predators and violent offenders. He should be sentenced to life in prison in my opinion, but the fact that this article mentions "smoking marijuana" and "molesting boys" in the exact same sentence is ridiculous, and another example of propaganda!!

I agree whole heartedly with you here.

This being on a Pagan board, I would also like to say that most Pagans aren't trying to have sex with minors.

This guy is a sicko... it's bad enough when a "normal" kid, who can walk and TALK get molested, but when kids have disabilities like autism, it's just monsterous. There's not a word strong enough to say how much hatred and digust I feel towards this individual. It takes a LOT for me to -hate- someone...

This guy is as sick as they come. The only reason that this is such big news is that some jerk labeled it as Pagan. Truth is that this person deserves to spend a very long time in jail dodging horn dogs that want to marry him everytime he bends over.

all paedophiles should be put down like the vile scum they are. This abomination is not pagan. NEVER equate real paganism with this piece of trash. IT is not Pagan, as we real pagans honour nature and her children. There is only one thing i hate with a passion in this world, and that adult abuse of children. There is NEVER an excuse (including mental illness) for this vile act. A tough stance has to be taken x

Yep, its that whole "Reefer Madness" thing. You rarely see any mention of the many perfectly good medical uses for marijuana.

Shellikins; as a survivor of child molestation, incest and rape...I can honestly tell you that it is always monsterous. It is cowardly and monsterous to do this to any child...but it is especially cowardly to do it to children with disabilities.

I couldn't agree with you more. I, too, am a survivor of child molestation.

I wasn't trying to say that it's okay if the child is "able" to walk and speak. I was trying to say that it's especially heinous when I child is unable to communicate what is happening to them.

I'm very lucky. Even though I was very young, I had the smarts to tell my mother... and she believed me and didn't hesitate to act. It was nice that she had so many cop friends. I know that in the 70's, these things tended to be swept under the rug... nobody talked about it. My mother had to fight to get this guy the miniscule sentence he got. They wouldn't give him a trial without putting me on the stand, which my mother didn't want, and our lawyer didn't want, out of fear of being torn apart by the defense.

In the long term, I'm a well adjusted woman with no "hang-ups"... I have no problems with trust or with relationships.

I only wish everyone who was victimised could have as good of an outcome. Like I said, I consider myself lucky.
Be well, Lili!

PS: Justice was served. My father knew alot of people in low places. The guy moved to California, but my father paid a guy to break both of his kneecaps. Not the kind of revenge I would ever seek out myself, it's just not something I would do. I forgave a long time ago. But, I can't say that I'm sorry it happened, either.

IMO, weed is safer than alcohol.

Weed doesn't make you call an ex at 2am.

Weed doesn't make you wanna fight.

After smoking a bunch of weed, I could get up in the AM, be functional, and remember everything I did the night before.

Just my opinion, though... ;)

If you've never been molested, then you don't have a valid opinion.

If you have, then you should be able to empathise with what others have been through.

I don't look for sympathy... I've been over this for years, but do not make light of, or try to downgrade what I've been through, or what Lili's been through. We call ourselves "survivors' because many victims can't live with what they've been through, and commit suicide. Or, they end up repeating they cycle when they grow up.

I hope, if you have kids in your family, that they never have to go through molestation or sexual abuse. It robs kids of the innocense they are supposed to have and leaves permanent scars. You may not be able to see them, but they are there, under the surface.
