Flyfart, someone would buy the mill for future investmentsin and for a foreign corporation in a foreign land that would ship and sell part of the wood product it manufactures here in our country. why pass up a good deal. Weyrhauser has already written the mill off in tax write offs. Ther is not enough timber or even large enough trees leftin that area of Oklahoma to make it feaseable for that mill to make a comeback. did you think there was. they are now cutting even lodge pole size trees for chips only. Weyrhauser stumped that area out to the bare stumps.

If someone does buy it, then lots of luck. After Weyco bought the Idabel mill they stopped mantinace on W.C. its a worn out piece of junk. I know because I worked there 32 yrs.

yES FLYFART, a RETIRED MAINTENANCE MAN WHO WORKED AT w.c. TOLD ME THAT THE MILL IS HELD TOGATHER BY PATCHES placed on top of patches. Soon to need another patch. Besides the timber has been stumped out in that area by EWEYCO. Just as they done in Oregan. No timber left on tepee lodge poles for chips.

The new curve saw at the mill needed large logs to maintain good production, these logs were getting harder & harder to find. The Idabel mill can run mid to small size logs and keep up production. Also the powerhouse, which burns wood waste could never meet the standards of cap & trade and the EPA.

The way the chinese maket is expanding at over 10 percent the chinese might just need another saw mill. After all the chinese buy more GM cars in china that is bought in the US. And are built there by chinese. Most cars of Gm are now being built in Mexicao that are sold here. My Impala came from Canada. built there.

I do believe the world of manufacturing is coming to the doors of China, begging to be let in. Cheap labor Flyfart and no enviromental laws either. and the investment money is going there as well, from our country and not being invested here. the republicans stopped a bill in its tracks that had passed in the house and stopped it in the senate. It would have taken away the tax incentatives for industry leaving the country. We, the tax payer pays the industies to leave our country.
