Yes it seems only the little people lost big time and wall street won the biggest of all times, even during a collapse of our economy of the little people. who paid the loss big time
I lost about one third of the value of my investments during the collapse but I have no way of knowing what anyone else won or lost and neither do you.

jUST do a little reading of the past and you will find that many states lost money on their investments in the different retirement plans ans many people lost money in their retirement plan- do you nort read the business section of your news paper, sun rise?? or do you read at alll typicam answer from a typical republican I guess-- the people know not a thing do they. Did you not see the different invest plans go down in value on wall street as their investments of retirements are on wall street just as yours was, join the crowd. Where are all the retirement plans invested if not on wall streeet.

Found something new on the net-- the republicans wants to audiot the fed-which I think would be a good idea. find out just exactly how much money we are actually in debt. but they also wanted to do away with the rules and regulations that would govern the wall street bankers and institutions on wall street. In other words just let them run amuch as much as they want and have no rules of to govern the wall streeters by. Now that seems rediculus to me. Deregulating wall street is what created this mess along with no over sight in the last administration.

Do we as a Nation need rules and regulations on wall street bankers or not? The past financial collapse tells me; yes we need regulation of WALL STREET BANKERS!! No more bail outs for wall street bankers.

sun shine, it is up in the air right now after passing in the senate it now goes to the senate and house to see what to do and settle on what is to end up in the bill. they will pick out the different amendments from the house and senate bills and settle it in a back room. Probaly end up with a watered down bill. Understand that the Arkansas senators amendments are in the bill that would cover the gambling going on in derivatives.

Sun shine, to put it in blunt words; we have what i consider a whore house in D.C. and some of those senators and representatives are prostituting themselves. And the wall streeters are the paying customers. And it seems they are paying the highest yet in for those prostitutes . Now I do not believe all of the people elected are living in the whore house, but do have close connections. they just have not beeen in the same bed as of yet. The deals are going on in those back rooms right now at this moment. And I bet the lobbyist come out the winners, as some of the advisers to the elected folks used to be paid lobbyist for wall street. Now from that what do you think the advice will be for -wall street the winner or main street, the looser?????? Take a guess who wins?? not us! That is my blunt thoughts for toda!!

Sun Shine, our ex elected officials and ex goverment employees are even sitting on the wall street financial institutes boards, they are enjoying thos as they are well paid. Now more than likely this not the only boards they sit on to give advise and call in favors. these people come from both parties and are hired to do the dirty work in D.C. to call in thise favors. SEems the business world does know who to hire and how to get business dome in D.C. Not suprising though. they are better paid than goverment jobs and that is what they quit politics for and why they work in govement- to do favors for their favorites.

I agree. The number one thing that concerns me in this bill is the fact that it gives power and authority to one person - an appointed person. We will have no voice in who this person is.

Saw him on other topix threads. Sun Shine, that is the way it has always been done in D.C. By appointment only for years and years. they are the annointed ones. But this bill will be watered down once it gets out of committee. to many people have been meeting with those WIZARDS OF WALL STREET. And the treasury is still letting them borrow money at zero percent interest. WHAT A WAY TO MAKE MONEY!

pappy, I have seen it agin about republicans and I thought they disliked Obama. but on the news I saw a REPUBLICAN, RON WARD, making a speech he stole from OBAMA, it was word for word every bit of this speech. It came from a speech that Obama made when running for election for PRESIDENT. so much for arepublicans word-- it became Obamas words just uttered from a REPUBLICANS LIPS. Are their speech writers that slow and have no imagination that they can not write their own speches. Stoleen right from Obama's lips.

PAPPY I AM BACK ONCE AGIN. i FOUND SOME FIGURES IN A MAGIZINE ON HOME FORECLOSURES AND THE AMOUNT OF FROECLOSURES THAT HAS OCCURRED SINCE THE FORECLOSEURES VIOLENTLY INCREASED AND THE ENCONOMIC FAILURES REALLY HOT HOME IN 2008. THERE HAS BEN OVER 7 MILLION FORECLOSURES IN OUR COUNTRY SINCE HARD TIMES CAME TO MAIN STREEY U.S.SA. i BELIEVE WE cannot begin to rebuilt our economy for for us as it is now at this time working only for the corporations and members of congress. You are completely right about the prostitutes in D.C. It is the biggest ;itt;e whore house in town. and the prosestitutes are hioghly paid. Even more reason to put regulations on the books to regulate Wall Street and the global corporations in our country. Greed has to be regulated to keep the greedy and try to put some honesty back the corporate world.
