Whatever. For all the problems this country or any other country has, EVERY non Muslim country is superior to EVERY Muslim country. Islam is the most dangerous thing in the world. Baptists are second.

Maybe you hang with the wrong crowd! Maybe you set your sights a little low and maybe not. There a few things I do not like in people and lazy is right up there on the list. Lazy contributes to alot of ignorances no matter what state a person lives in! A liar and a thief!

I'm not sure how politically correct this might be but instead of car insurance or medical insurance why not just combine it. It's not seen as socialism to make it a law for all drivers to have car insurance because of mainly medical problems should you wreck but to make ppl carry health insurance is....?!?! Am I wrong? Ok, so if we are forced to have it, do we get to use or claim what we already have instead? I didn't read much info on the matter. I'm sure many who have strong opinions didn't either.

The only auto/truck insurance YOU are required to have is Liability to cover someone elses car/truck if you are at fault in an accident. It does not cover your car/truck. You donot have to cover full coverage insurance. If you donot want to buy auto/truck liability insurance then don't drive! Medical is to protect you and/or you and your family. Two big differences! Everyone does not drive but everyone gets sick at one point of their lifetime.

Afraid Van has this one right. Oklahoma is right there with Mississippi and Louisiana at the bottom of the desirable states to have to deal with. Okies in the majority are uneducated, ignorant, lazy and religious. I never saw anything like it anywhere. All over the world people work harder than Okies. For most Okies "Obama sucks" is the extent of their "politics". Don't need education because they think know everything but their "knowledge" is ten miles wide and half an inch deep. Van is smarter than 90% of the Okies I've seen post here. And he doesn't claim to be an intellectual. It's not a matter of book learning either. Some non degree people are very intelligent. But not many in Oklahoma that I met. I have never seen such a wide display of lack of common sense as I did in Tulsa.

That's out and out nonsesnse. At least a third of the drivers in every state have no insurance. And the rest of us pay for it. Let me ask this. If everyone is required to have liability to cover a wreck we cause, then how come we have to have uninsured motorist coverage in case someone else wrecks our car and our insurance won't pay since we didn't cause the wreck. If we don't have uninsured motorist insurance we're just of luck. YET you say "if you don't want insurance don't drive". well MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS are doing EXACTLY THAT. And we legal people get soaked paying for them. How is that not a SCAM by the insurance companies?

I am not sure why you blame the insurance companies for people not buying liability insurance. You actually donot have to buy uninsured motorist. But usually people do if they buy full coverage. Uninsured motorist is added protection a person buy just in case they are hit buy someone that doesnot have liability insurance or if your medical bills are more than what they have to cover you. But your uninsured motorist only kicks in if you are not at fault in the accident. In my personal opinion if a person is driving around with out insurance and is in any kind of accident that should ba able to lay claim against anyone that has insurance. But actually who is scamming us is the ones that don't buy at least the liability insurance. It is like people that scam welfare or anything else including not buying health insurance if they can. Just out for a free ride and yes the honest people pay the price!

Dusty I also blame the laws that are not more strict in policing people not having insurance for their autos/trucks, and not have heavier penalities when caught. What alot of people do is go in and buy auto insurance and put it on monthly pay just to go get their tag and show proof of insurance and after getting their tags they cancel the insurance until they need a tag again. Heck some people don't bother even buying a new tag if they can. As far as I am concern they are just as bad as a bank robber! They are robbing the honest people blind!

Everything you say is correct, however the Insurance companies are charging us for every accident whether our fault or not. My car was hit while parked and the other insurance company paid and my insurance company STILL raised my rates. After 30 years with the same company and not one claim. To say that they won't pay if an uninsured motorist hits you unless you take specific insurance for that specific situation is HIGHWAY ROBBERY. They raise your rates if you're at fault, if you're not at fault and they won't pay unless you pay more for those who are not insures. THAT IS FRAUD BY ANY DEFINITION OF THE WORD.

Yes I see why you are pist off. I would be to. I actually don't have any idea why your insurance company raised your rates. I have never been in that situation. I think I would have checked around and that company would have lost my business.

People that don't buy health or auto/truck insurance end up costing the ones that are doing the right thing all the way around.

washer you are replying to statements in reply to a statement I made; I wad simply thinking that since we are already required to purchase a version of insurance for our vehicles which have a finite value, its odd that we do not. As human beings we are priceless, if we were to be obligated to carry at least some form of insurance wouldn't that make more sense to have health insurance? Granted we are only required to carry insurance on our cars if we drive, but if we don't drive we don't need it. Its a choice; I get it. But; as I stated a moment ago we are more valuable than our cars, shouldn't it make more sense to protect ourselves?

I would rather not be required to have auto insurance, but I would hate to be hit by someone without any:( catch 22 ain't it!

Auto Insurance is a Government organized monopoly to protect the big corporations investment on your auto loan, the Health insurance aint worth a pot of beans if your really sick and need expensive treatment, they will have a clause some where in that contract to protect their ass not yours. If you cant cover the treatment then its your ass, thats how I seen it works.

But you know what the many Okies say. "Edumacination don meke use smert. Din hurts me none not goin to skeewl."
I listen to your wisdom all the time and Ive learned a lot! But guess what, theres a new show on the history channel called MUD CATS its all about Oklahomer and its sophisticated Cat Fish noodlers, aint that sweet.

Then why do people carry auto insurance if their auto/truck is paid for?
I will say our health insurance did alright by us when my husband was fighting stage 3 colon cancer. We had good insurance but we paid out our nose for it. I will also say not all health insurance policies are equal. A person really has to study what they are buying to know exactly what you have.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
