Why would they let him out at all after the materials they found in his house, porn tapes, pharmaceuticals, syringes? BECAUSE ITS MCCURTAIN COUNTY!

It does seem they have a problem with putting kid safety first.

Judge Dewitt has a history of setting low bonds, he once told me through my legal profession, that bond is not used as a punishment. Instead,.they have to look at all fact on the case, such as flight risk, danger to others or danger to himself. Well I think the judge got this one wrong,,,,,to many kids effected with this crime and bond should have been higher or not at all! However, I'm trying to find the positive, at least he didn't O.R. him (released on his own recognizance, with out posting anything). Yep, I've seen that happen......

I think it's more than just Mcco on this one. We have a flawed system that values a parents rights more than a Childs. Our system gives children back to felon parents just because they are "blood" related. You know what I've find through the years? The kids do not care about "blood." They care about love. Here we are in.2012, trying to pass a "personhood" bill to protect an embryo, but we still treat children as if they are the property of their parents. SAD SAD SAD

Oops. I meant to put thus under the second post about not putting children first. I know it seems post subject but I am just saying we do not do a very good job of protecting children

This entire thing is truly a nightmare. It sickens me to the core. While having a sibling whom fell victim to child molestation it is very hard to understand. I don't think that Brad Porton should be allowed to take the mental insanity way out of this situation. I hope that the officials involved will properly gather all information and evidence in an order to prevent the facts from being forbiden or dismissed at trial due to improper handling of information. This happens often. Further more I do want to say that Brad's mom may have had some questionable actions as to leaving the state, etc. but she is not the one being accussed of this crime. Brenda is a mother who is trying to look out for her son. I'm not saying she is right for doing this but I do think her first reaction was to look out for her son. Now with that being said i feel that as more and more evidence is coming forth, Brenda should step back and look at the entire situation and be thankful that this has come to light now instead of another year or so down the road with more children falling victim to Brad's sick way of therapy to young boys.

It is my understanding that he has done this before once in Norman while he was in college and once more in Broken Bow. I know a few of the kids that he did it to in Broken Bow the first time. Brenda got him off both times, if she was really concerned she would have sought help for him and kept him away from kids instead she did just the opposit. Talk about a mother helping her kid!

Yes this is sad. When there are so many people that can tell so many first hand story's about brad it's not a blind justice system it's our system wanting us to be blind. He needs to be off the street

I read information from a mother who's son was victimized by him around 10 years ago. I believe it was on the petition that was floating around in the beginning. We will probably never find out the true number of his victim's. Most pedophile's have at least 100 victim's before they are caught.

Do you know of any adult victim's that have come forward? Someone should contact the victim's from years ago and see if they will testify to the facts. If they went to the police, they know who they are? Right?
