And we finally start to see the light! When my own H.S. Started trying to alter a dress code 15yrs ago, we did what we could. We petitioned, contacted the school board, got parents on board and when that didn't work we organized a walk-out. This is roughly around houston, so trust me I know a bit about gang members! They were expelling kids for something as pointless as untied shoe laces or wearing crucifixes as "gang related". As the organizer I was almost arrested for inciting a riot, and only the speed of youth versus fat cops kept me out of jail! Trust me if working within the system doesn't work, sometimes lots of media attention does. Hater, out.

than use this as a point to show people like our resident hater here that we can go about changing things the right way. have your son take pictures of the gang affiliated clothing and present it in a logical and well thought out manner to the school board. if that doesnt work take it higher and higher until something changes. have him be an example to the opposite of what they think. the experience will also teach him multiple life lessons at same time. let him show these people that not all juggalos are dumb and uneducated, with big mouths and chips on their shoulders because the world doesnt accept them. let him learn that getting mouthy and abrasive wont change peoples minds. turn the rules against them, either they allow psy. gear or the must institute a uniform policy and i promise you if thats the case the whole student body will be behind him. have him explain to his fellow students that their clothing choices could be next. just remember its a public school regardless of what they try to get the people to believe therefore the public can and should change and make the rules.
thats a good plan but i think it would have to be caried out with alot of force and planning because if you dont there just gonna concider it just some bothersome juggalos trying to fight the system but if done right it would be a large step to getting some of our so called freedom back

oh trust me my son and his 'homies' are doing just that, they refuse to wear their psychopathic record gear as long as they face possible expulsion. They refuse to be suspended and waste a years education on a narrow minded school board.
They are doing what they can while making sure to distance themselves from any perceived 'trouble' and staying with in 'acceptable protocol' while pleading their cases.

This is a learning lesson for them I agree and good one at that, it does however still not excuse judgements against ANYONE for their genre of style, politics, music, entertainment, the list could go on.

What I don't understand, Mr. Stomping(if you will) is why you are so bound and determined to judge your fellow man? they neither desire or require your approval.

Someone will alway's be judging you so it might as well be me. And working within the system sucks but teaches determination. However altering your apperance because of repricussions is kind of copping out. Anything you truly believe in you should be willing to suffer for. If not, it's just a fad. They don't have to be belligerent, just explain"no, I will NOT take it off". Life isn't easy, and knuckling under only makes it harder. What He has is a perfect example to show.

Make people see the hypocrisy&injustice. Make them say"Why would they suspend that young man? He does well in school, has no criminal record, volunteers, and in general makes our whole community a better place! Why make him waste a year over something as pointless as a shirt?" That is how you make change. I suffered for my causes in my youth. It build character. Something many are sorely lacking today.

You yourself judge too don,t deny it. Pedophile find "entertainment" in what they do, Nazi's were"political",Char les Manson comitted his crimes due to frustration at not breaking into the "music industry. So, still non-judgemental?

I'm sorry that i don't share your sentiment, on his college application they aren't going to say why did he repeat a grade? oh, because of a Tee-shirt, well in that case come on in pal!!
Wrong back to the real world there stomper!

Judge, no, I judge my own life using my own plumb line as laid out to my belief in the Word of God, I am not without sin, therefore I will not be the first to cast a stone, nor will I be i line to cast one, I would however be the first in line to comfort that person and explain the forgiveness that Jesus died to provide for them.

he is right. make sure your son makes it apparent that it was his clothing alone that caused these actions to be taken, solely based on the actions of others. make it known that other kids where colors that also "represent" gangs or gang activity and in such if he is suspended or expelled these others students by rule and example should have the same reprecussions handed down to them. although on one point i must disagree at this point until they can get solid evidence that they are being singled out it might be best to stay under the radar. although i can see who they view it as making a point, that if it wasnt for the shirts they wouldnt know that these kids are juggalos.

that's the sad part of this. They would never know that my son and his friends listened to ICP if it weren't for the t-shirts, hoodies, hatchet man charms, belt buckles, and back packs.
It's really pathetic and pisses me off, his 17th birthday was 11/9 and i just bought him a 45 dollar hatchet man charm necklace and now he can't wear it.
it's really pathetic at this point. No, it isn't worth him being suspended over to prove THAT point.

Anything you believe in strongly enough you're willing to suffer for. If not it's just a stupid phase & he'll outgrow that. Do you have any idea how many kids with arrest records & good grades get into good schools? Test scores mean more than anything and cash is still king! So, stand up and do what you believe is right, or stop whining and sit down. Is he not wearing it because of the threat of expulsion, or because you won't allow him to take that chance?

You can't tell a person how to be an adult. All you can do is guide them and help them up if the fall. Adolescence is when we truly start defining 'who' we are. And not to get off on a tangent, but logically speaking the 'word of god' is nothing but judgement. You have to listen and live right because of a 'judgement day',right? Two points to think on, how could a being of infinite love and forgiveness condemn one to eternal suffering and damnation?, and how is it even RIGHT for a perfect, omnipotent, infallible being to pass that judgement on someone so fundementally different as to be entirely incapable of even comphrehending the true state of said being? Food for thought.

losing battle here my friend this is your heads up. my daddy was a Southern Baptist preacher as is my younger brother who also happens to be my pastor.
I will answer both of your questions for thought with one answer. I will however NOT be drug into a religious debate by you or anyone else here. If you accept Christ as your savior that is your decision if you do not that is also your decision, I will NOT defend my right to accept him as mine.

As for your answer.........he is GOD he does not need YOUR 'RIGHT' to do anything. He does both things you mentioned because he is also a JUST and RIGHTEOUS GOD. He gave every man the right to choose to accept and serve and love him. You are free to choose not to. Everything you do in life is because HE has given you the free will to such. You know as well as I do you must pay a price for EVERY decision you make. Some have pleasent consequences and some are unpleasent. some have eternal consequences, alas even though he loved us all in our sin enough to provide a means of salvation because of his infinite love, some will choose not to believe, or not to serve, it will not however change the consequences received because of HIS JUST and RIGHTEOUS nature.

You make whatever decision YOU believe serves you best, as for me and mine.........we will serve the Lord.

For starters, no we won't debate. Secondly I can assure you(and with this I mean no disrespect) I've spent more time studying religion, debating religion, and talking to men of religion than you could fathom. However, that aside my original point's still weren't addressed. And trust me unless it's theoritical physics, nuclear engineering,or carpentry I'm very rarely over my head. With the way I used to live, the people I used to associate with and the way I am, you don't have long if you're not intelligent.
