Does anyone remember these things we would get in school back in the late 70's? They were maybe a 1/2 inch thick and very good. Well, I wanted to know if anyone knows how to make them.

OMG, Was it the ones they had in the early 80's with the chocolate on top??? mmmmmm my mouth waters just thinking about them. For some reason alot of kids at my elementary school didnt like them. We had a table for students to put any unopenned, unwanted food on and anyone else could help themselves (excellent idea) and I would gather as many of them as I could. My mother would have had an aneurysm if she knew.

are you talking about the peanut butter squares that always came with the pizza on Friday's? If you are talking about them I have the recipe that I got from one of the people that used work in one of the cafeterias. I made them once and they were great!

Box of Corn Flakes, 1-2 cups peanut butter, Karo Corn Syrup. Heat up in pan, press into cookie sheet. Just like rice crispy treats.

Didn't the peanut butter squares have chocolate on them? I think we're talking about a few different recipes here. They're probably all good but the peanut butter squares I remember had chocolate on them. Does anyone have that recipe?

I think I have the one you want MKM. 32oz peanut butter, 4oz butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 16oz confectioner's sugar, 1/3 cup brown sugar (mix that all up) it is really thick so use a good mixer and have your butter and pb softened. You also need 8oz of chocolate (bakers chocolate not the chips) and melt that on the stove top. Press the peanut butter into a 9x13 glass pan, pour on the melted chocolate. Put in the fridge and let it set overnight. I find it best to keep in the fridge till about an hour before serving. I cut that into 12 squares (Because were big now lol we get bigger squares no more trading) Only catch from my math it's about 800 calories a square Hope you enjoy its really simple and is so worth the memories from our childhood to have every now and again !!!
