I probably have the last name wrong but I'm not sure why it sounds so familiar...

Can we please talk about how Lee Williams acts like such a jerk as a supervisor? He may have been a really good tech, but when it comes to managing people, the kid just sucks. Anyone else feel like Lee Williams just might be a little prick at times?

We used to call him Bateyes and Bug eyes... it makes him really angry... but it is funny.
On the other hand, never had any problems out of Lee and had to work in OTC from time to time when Embarq was slowing down and getting ready to come to an end.

Just a few questions, why are we working overtime with nothing to do but sit with no phones to build? Also, why are some people getting jumped on for things they have no control over? Why can't some people just see the whole picture. I guess more genius upper management ideas.

I agree that as far as "managers" go Tyson and Kray (sp?) at least tend to speak and say hello when they walk around. I wordked in XBM and saw Kray there many Saturdays just to check in and he would help pack boxes n stuff. credit where credits due Scott County Dad wrote: I agree the "gameday" was a pretty sorry excuse of an event, and the Pizza was struggling at best, and while we complain alot at least there were a few Managers out there associating with us, i saw Tyson and Kray out talking to people and throwing a football around with people, and while it was a pretty sorry event I appreciate that they did something. <quoted text>

Tyson also known as the Midnight Assasin... ask him about his wrestling career, he loves to talk about it.. overall, he was the best manager there.

Touchstone wireless, as an investor and friend of an employee I was researching this company but upon my investigation it would be wise to "steer clear" of this one. From the obvious bad company moral noted in these posts, they use these temp services that take 33% of the workers wages, for month's and month's and month's until hopefully maybe someday (if you don't get let go 1st) you'll be selected hopefully in the next few years for permanent employment, what a way to live. Day by day not knowing if your gonna have a job by the end of your shift, Sad. This automatically causes bad moral. How would you like to know that the employer pays 12.50 pr hr for your work and you only receive 7.50 or maybe 8.00 if your a tech. But this company is different in a bad way because it does not hire on permanent workers at the 12.50 rate, instead they make the SAME amount they earned when they were temp! My friend TRAINS touchstone wireless permanent employees and STILL working for the temp service!!! My Friend has college and very intelligent, a hard worker with excellent record, yet without trainer pay is required to train the permanent workers!! Since I was informed about this today I've decided to put my own talents to work in helping them find new employment as I don't like seeing such talents and abilities going to waste in such a shithole(pardon my french) as I call it like I see it. I'll never purchase anything that this company has anything to do with. Labor Unions I've always been against but it's because of companies like this they do exist and are unfortunately/obviously needed.

You hit the nail right on the head. I can let you know after working there for 4 yrs you still get treated like crap. They will lie to you about job promotions just to get you to do their work without the title and pay.

Be glad you all have your jobs! Those of us that worked at the Hatfield facility do not have their jobs any longer. Yes, some of the changes that went on were hell-the point system for one. Seems that our facility was the only one that we could get away with chatting...(barely)lol I loved my job and position, miss it although I do not miss the point system-made me feel like I was in prison! Best of luck to everyone that is still working for Touchstone!

Does'nt everyone love the great news, one day for Thanksgiving and one day for Christmas and no bonus! I hope no one has any plans for relatives coming in from out of town to visit. It seems to me our company loves to make holidays on the calendar and not honor them just like the 4th of July. One more thing, I just wonder if upper managment is getting there bonuses? We all know the CEO got his, while we are all at work missing out he'll be showing off his new luxury estate to Robert Leach. Whats funny is all the excecutives talk about how they have to do this and that when it doesnt even matter if they make another cent there set for life. But hey, I'm happy with what I have and now maybe sometime with family would be great.

It's awful that not only do employees need to make Touchstone Wireless their priority over everything else, so do the families of employees. It's sick the way they do this. "Just be happy you have jobs" who is sick of hearing this? Yes, we are all very fortunate to have jobs, especially in this economy. But, Touchstone Wireless should "Just be happy you have employees" that put up with your bullcrap. We are tired. Good luck finding 200 more people who haven't already worked for and been fired from your company for attendance.

Well...our 4th of July was shot all to hell, Thanksgiving is shot all to hell, Christmas will probably be shot all to hell, and I should be thankful all the while that I am employed. Yet, we work OT with no parts to fix what we need to fix, no work, but...somehow we need to be here on a holiday. Where in the world do we find the Mgmt. at this place...it's simple math....and all of this doesn't add up.
Normal successful business: Capable product = capable management = happy productive employee.
TW Way: Capable product = management barely capable of counting to 3 = unhappy, unproductive workforce.
And I love how they didn't bother to tell the news channels that you would get to work as a temp for a year plus....

I am thinking of working at touchstone in bristol very soon to help repair phones, and I have read a ton of negative posts. What is the turnover rate and is it really that bad?
