1 Next question I have is why Bristol is not taking better advantage of their civic center. I went to the concert Friday night and it was packed. I've since read that it was approx. 5000 people in attendance. After the concert was over we went to Applebees for a late dinner and it was packed by people leaving the concert also. Everyone was having a great time and spending money. Considering ticket sales, concessions, parking fees, meals, city taxes on everything, this would have to be a substantial amount of additional income to the city. Why aren't they taking more advantage of this source and having more events. Johnson City seems to be aware of this and taking advantage of it. Could it be better management at the council, city manager level? Duh! |
