We have houses to clean, we need nannies, we need to remodel our homes. And who do the rich Marinites hire? Illegals. Because they're cheap. Stop hiring them, and they'll stop coming. We need to look in the mirror. Hire legal workers. You can afford it! I've heard that in 'a certain city by a lake named afer another state', the carpenters union has sold (as is selling) union memberships to any illegal mex on the job site that gives them $200. They have sold the American union to mexico for cash. There are tens of thousands of carpenters out of work now and the only one's not having issues are the illegal mex. Don't feel sorry for the carpenters' union, they're doing it to themselves for short term profit aand at the expense of America.

How about you STFU or better yet, get all the facts about Feinstein before you boast about her support of tighter border security. The bitch later voted to DEFUND border security and has consistently shown favoritism towards illegals over the Americans she is elected to represent. Are you aware of how much of our money she funnels every year to her hubby's company, her own business/capital ventures? Or that she's currently under an ethics review? Ot that she sponsors more free-passes for illegals than all other Senators combined? Her shit stinks to high heaven and the bitch needs to be voted out along with her traitorous bitch-in-arms Boxer.

You underestimate the MAJORITY of 304+ million Americans who would never hire an illegal alien. And FYI, there is no way for a responsible American who does their homework and uses the available check-n-balance system to mistakenly hire an illegal.

You're just another right wing enabler. How many illegal gardeners and maids do you employ? You righties were in charge for years, how many illegals were deported and sanctions imposed on illegal employers? Answer, almost none. Let's face it, Democrats want voters and Republicans want cheap labor. To try and blame this mess on Liberals only is absolute BS. Republicans are more responsible than anyone-see Ronnie Reagan's legalization of 6 MILLION. And Barbara Boxer is a patriot, she was one of the few to resist Bush's disastrous tax cuts and foreign wars of opportunity.

In fact, Undocumented workers have been a tremendous economic benefit in the US on a scale much, much greater than any government they allegedly use. Let's just look at agriculture. With undocumented workers, more food can be grown for a lower price meaning you pay less every time you go to the grocery store. I'm going to stop you right here and ask that you please remove your foot from your mouth and focus your attention on rubbing more than two neurons together. First, LESS THAN 2% of illegals are working agriculture. This means that over 98% are taking jobs otherwise taken by lower and middleclass Americans who btw, contribute the lion's share of State/Federal taxes used to build infrastructure and more. Second, MOST of the income made by illegals is NEVER put back into our economy as a net contribution. Third, you are completely negating and denying ALL OF THE FRONT & BACKEND COSTS to agriculture. Americans heavily and annually subsidize agriprocessors. We also pay for all of the backend costs in medical, WIC, welfare and other services that those working agriculture as well as other indutry and jobs are consuming. Fourth, you need to read more and get that Americans are paying far more for illegals than illegals could ever contribute. Case in point: ONE CHILD of an illegal placed in any K-12 school in America costs nearly $98,000 for a K-12 education. Now, you tell me how the frock millions of illiterate, uneducated peasants working minimum wage jobs ever contribute in 13 years nearly $100K in taxes. And btw, the majority of illegals here have more than one child so you do the fricken math.

God, you're so stupid with your myopic perspective. Illegals are CRUSHING middleclass Americans who once supported their families via work in construction, food service, hospitality and more. Or are you one of those bleeding heart liberals who doesn't give a rat's ass about workingclass Americans and their need to support their families and not be undermined by scabbing illegals?

With undocumented workers, more food can be grown for a lower price meaning you pay less every time you go to the grocery store. More food is produced, more people can afford it, so more truckers are employed, more trucks are sold, more restaurants stay open, and all those employed people turn around and send their earnings at additional businesses. To say that we can replace all those agricultural workers with legal residents is naive at best. American agricultural business knows that to deport all undocumented workers would be catastrophic to their business, so they do not support the anti-immigration groups. Agriculture is just one example; there are many other market sectors that benefit dramatically from the availability and skills of undocumented workers. Deporting these workers would clearly dramatically contract the networks of businesses connected to agriculture, construction, food service, and many, many other economic sectors. This would be a economic shock on the scale of the mortgage meltdown. So, people who just say "they are illegal, they cost money, so deport them" aren't look at at the true economic benefits we all receive, nor are they truly motivated the idea of saving Americans' tax money. I for one think it the height of churlishness to say "come help enrich us, but you can't go to the doctor, you can't go to school, and we won't help you if you suffer hardship." The anti-immigration people seem anti-capitalist because the free market (especially for labor) has spoken resoundingly and it is not what they want to hear. Rather, what want is a government intervention that will harm the free market. Such babble... meaningless babble. You have made no point, used no logic. Must really live in Fairfax. Have a good buzz going?

I think if we're going to get serious about this issue then we need to have mandatory minimum jail terms for those who hire undocumented workers--let's say 30 days for each offense and ignorance is not a defense. Put some teeth into it.
If there's no jobs to be had 'under the table,' then I suspect illegal immigration will fall by the wayside.
It's also a great way to see who's really going to put their money where their mouth is.

Was he supposed to be left behind to fend on his own at 3 years old? You hold the PARENTS responsible for the collateral damage the parents called. Not a 3 year old.I'm in complete favor of him remaining here, since this is the ONLY home he knows. And thats because his dufus, irresponsible parents put him in this situation/position.
