You can lead a liberal to facts, but you can't make them think!
Hey, Charlie-boy: click on Frankie's link... it was published December 19, 2006! That's right, fool, nearly THREE YEARS AGO! Anybody merged the county police forces yet? That's why I didn't respond to ity, putz! Frankie took ya' out for a hard ride and put you away wet, boy!

So your best argument is that the lack of government action is proof that merging services doesn't make sense?

What planet are you from? This kind of ignorance can only be the result of a college education.... or a public employee union newsletter.

Just because the self-serving vermin in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County have decided to drag their feet, ignore common sense and continue to waste more public money DOES NOT diminish the original facts.

Read it again, buddy.....

If you would actually read my posts, you would realize that I have never weighed in on the question of the potential costs and benefits of the county police services mergers; but I did question Frank's motives for recommending them, and the contradictions among specific claims he made regarding the issue. You, on the other hand, actually propose that a college education is prima facia evidence of ignorance. And how does simply quoting the annual budgets of two law enforcement agencies provide evidence of anything? Your ignornace is rivalled only by your arrogance... are you perhaps related to Frank, Charlie boy?

Krakus where are you at? Did Frank crush you with his article from the Worst-Gazette? Yes Krakus he used facts. Something leftwing liberals hate. Out of 67 counties in Pa there is only one County that has a County Police force and thats Allegheny. Is it needed to have (26 officers per 24 hours shift @$80,000 per Officer) of highly trained Officers in the parks in winter months when there is nothing going on in the parks? These highly trained Officers could be used to help catch drug dealers, rapist and even help local Boros with vehicles speeding through are neighborhoods (everyone has a stop sign that people run in their neighborhood). We dont need a $80,000 a year deer feeder. Dont you think that is a terrible waste of the working persons money? Notice i said "working person" But when you dont work like "krakus" money is just one Government check away.

Whocares when the article was written. It just shows his point even better that Government waste taxpayers money by doing Nothing. Also what Motive would someone have by trying to limit Government? The right one i would think. The only thing bad about Frank's idea was his Grammer and its about as bad as mine, so whocares. but he has some very good ideas and we need to start cutting Government everywhere. They work for us the people not the other way around.

Again, little boy, might I suggest you actually read someone's posts before you run off at the mouth, yet again? But then, anyone who resorts to ad hominem attacks has obviously exhausted their capacity for rational argument. You're a sad little boy, so probably to be more pitied than chastized, though, I would imgaine.

You cant merge any department if the man on top wont agree with the idea. It has already been stated on this blog site that the county Police is Onorato's personal Police Force which he appoints the bosses of the department. You also need no college to be hired by the County Police unlike the City of Pittsburgh, Ross, Whitehall, Hampton, County Sheriff, Plum and every other Major police department in western Pa.

Since "Frank" says something on an anonymous opinion board, it's necessarily true, Charlie? You're letting your gullability show there a bit, son. And the City of Pittsburgh, for example, merely seeks candidates with 30-60 accredited course hours at a university, college... or a trade or technical school. There is no degree requirement. And the Pittsburgh Police is the major police force in western PA. With the tone of such comments about the county police, it would seem you're motivated by more than efficiencey and "good government" as well, eh, Charlie?.

Get it right Krakus. the City of Pittsburgh Requires 60 credits. Not 30-60. The County Police require zero. The County Police stadards are at the bottom of police requirements. they are with rankin, braddock, Mt Oliver. The whole reason they are this easy on their requirements is that it is a Political poistion that is paid off with jobs.

Good gawd, boy, you're positively enamored of the continued display your ignorance. Check the City's website; I said candidate, son, and they can begin the process with 30 credits. But more importantly, it would seem you're more put off by your belief patronage drives county police hiring, and not governmental efficiency, as you claim. And did the "college" requirement you sapecifically touted for the county sheriff's office prevent the corruption that tainted Sheriff DeFazio's office just a few years ago? Like Frank, you've obviously got an ax to grind that you'd like to cloak in more palatable motives.

Krakus, once again you are caught lying. he is a copy from the city of pittsburgh site and you can clearly see that you need 60 Credits to be hired by the Police force.

Thirty (30) semester credits (or forty-five (45) quarter credits) of completed coursework at an accredited college, university, technical or trade school at time of filing application. Official Education/Training transcripts must be submitted at the time of filing application or no later than November 8, 2008.(see Education/Training section on other side for details) NOTE: Sixty (60) semester credits (or ninety (90) quarter credits) of completed coursework at an accredited college, university, technical or trade school must be completed by the time your rank on the eligibility list is reached for processing for an academy class. If you do not meet the requirement at that time, you will be able to request a one year civil service education waiver/deferment.

Boy, son, it's obvious your reading comprehension would be classified as limited at best, and that's if one is being kind. Give it up, already, boy. You read like a police wannabe, possibly a municipal part-timer at best. Keep trying though!

thats it when you have nothing to say and caught in a lie call the other person names and attack them. You are a true left wing nutjob Krakus. I dont think it could be more clear that you need 60 credits to be a Pittsburgh Police Officer.

In 1999, as an administrative policy initiative, the City of Pittsburgh established a minimum of 60
college-credits as a pre-requisite qualification for anyone interested in taking the written
examination and pursuing an application to be a Pittsburgh Police Officer.

That is why they are a much better force than any surrounding area.
