This is a reason why we need Finch out of office. The Post endorsed this corrupt pol. Now it is time for the Post to do the right thing and DEMAND that he resign from office. THis garbage has been going on for years and Jean Castro is not the first homeowner to have their homes confiscated by the likes of politicians like Finch and Samowitz. I saw Samowitz last Sunday and he was walking aroud like he was King Tut, in fact he looked quite proud. Lee ripping off someone is nothing to be proud of, you are a disgrace to the legal profession.

This editorial was right on the money. It is time for Finch to apologize to Mr Castro and for Mr Samowitz to turn in his license to practice law. This whole situation is a disgrace. Finch and Samowitz should hide their heads in shame!

We have to get rid of Finch. There are thousands of expensive autos in this city that are registered out of state illegally and this crum wants to foreclose on the home of a hard working immigrant over a measly $50. Finch just go AWAY, FAR AWAY

Mayor Finch's policy of "zero tolerance" for owing back taxes is targeted at the poor residents of the City only, not the deep-pocket developers who all live outside the City.

It is time for the citizens of Bridgeport to take a zero tolerance to the corruption of the Finch administration. It is time for the citizens of Bridgeport to take a page from the Iranian protestors and take to the street and demand that Finch and his corrupt political machine step down!

A clever idea, but why didn't you do this before, when Fabrizi and his corrupted administration was in charged...?

This is beyone just being an issue of a flawed system. What BIll Finch and Attorney Samowitz have done to Mr Castro is pure theft.

While real estate developers get away with owing millions of dollars BIll FInch has the audacity to foreclose on a hard working immigrant over a $50 Bank error. They should be foreclosing on Bill's house!

This is an outrage. I think the city should foreclose on Bill Finch and Attorney Samowitz.Disbarment proceedings should be in the work for Samowitz

Why isn't Samowitz being hauled before a review board for this unethical and sleazy conduct. THis is just so sickening, Bill's wealthy freinds like Sal DiNardo owe the city millions, yet Bill wants to take away this man's house over $50

Bill Finch has to go. Isn't it kind of interesting that the CT Post seems to have gotten rid of Topix being connected to their web page. Could it be they are feeling pressure from the ever so corrupt Bill FInch!

Bill Finch needs to go to jail with the other crooks in city hall. Good news, he is up for re-election this year. BYE BYE.
Unfortunately he is not up for 2 more years and apparently he has cowed the CT Post into removing Topix from the CT Post!

Bill Finch had a politically connected lawyer named Lee Samowitz (former state rep) launch a foreclosure on the home of Haitian American Jean Castro over a $50 balance on taxes that was do to an error of his mortgage company. At the same time real estate developers like Phil Kuchma who is a fried of Bills has delinquent taxes of $8000 on one building alone yet the city does nothing about it

Wow. Yes, I was familiar with the case of the $50 debt, but not the name, and certainly not about Kuchma. Doesn't Kuchma own a large piece of property in the 'Bijou Square' area?

Son-of-a-Finch needs to clean up his act, or watch his political career collapse at the hands of Chris Caruso. He may need a stiff prison sentence if he is convicted of any financial improprieties! It is the Bridgeport way!

Bring back JASPER McLEVY!

In fact that is one of the properties of which I speak, in fact many private companies have mechanics liens against on of those properties, but this city has yet to do that itself, guess it helps to have friends in city hall

Time for Finch to leave office. And give Jean Castro his property back. And bring Lee Samowitz before the ethics committee of the Bar Association
