Aspiring lawyer passed the bar, rejected because of student loa...

Education is free in this country until the 12 grade and MANY people still can't read or write when they "graduate". Personally, I would like my lawyer (if I ever need one) to be smart enough to pass the bar.

As for this story, some facts must be missing. How can a debt (a student loan on less) go from 200k to 400k in such a short time.

This is stupid, student loans are not paid until 6 months after graduating. He hasnt started to pay yet, what freeloader? His credit is most likely good, what gounds could they have? Sounds like discrimination based on his ability to pay. They wouldnt have given the loans if they didnt think he could pay. And there is no escape fron student loans, bankcrupcy cant help sp why not give him a chance to pay. Clinton kept his liscence after he commited purgery. How many lawyers owe back taxes? they should be disbarred if they are keeping him from practicing law.

Education is not free. Stupid answer, try looking at your taxes. Maybe the communist out there should think a little about "free" higher education for everyone. Then the government can give you a job and they decide what you will do.

If a person could pay the debt, that would be different. It's impossible. Peter O'Lalor and I wrote a comprehensive bill recently to deal with student loan debt. You can get a copy at cedresq@gmail.com. Why are we being discriminated against when people with businesses can declare bankruptcy and others get relief from credit card debt, etc.? This bill is very good and covers areas that current legislation leaves out. Read it, share it with others across the country, and then submit it to your legislators and ask them to sponsor it. gosh it seems that all I fine are the stupid name calling jerks on this forum. Education IS FREE FOR THE KIDS STUIPID, I know I am paying for it. I am saying isn't it enought that we give a FREE education to everyone (American or not) unil the 12th grade!

So how do you think he should pay off the debt with no career?? People amaze me! You would think these so called intellectuals who decide ones fate would have a brain cell among them to realize this man is able to achieve his goals.

I can not believe he was rejected, because of his student loans. Everyone that has ever taken out a student loan knows that you do not have to start paying it back until after six months after graduation.
I remember quite awhile back there was an article in the Ct Post newspaper about how a lot of Dentists, Doctors, and Lawyers never paid their student loans back.
The same people who rejected this man's employment are probably some of the people who never paid their student loans.

I feel for this guy, because it happened to me, 20 years and I still paying...! Schools should be free as well as Health Insurance for everybody....

Sounds like at age 47 he has never WORKED a day in his life.
He is a perfect replacement for Senator Dudd.
