Perhaps the most twisted attempt at logic I have ever read on the Daily News forums. And your radical right-wing views are glowing in the dark--just like the site. It is Boeing's problem. They are fat-cat defense contractors and they bought the problem from Rockwell. Pratt & Whitney told Boeing "It's your problem." (Remember Ike and the "military industrial complex.") Why in the he** should the taxpayers fit the bill?

There are valid points in both arguments above but the bottom line is that when the dust settles the taxpayers will be the ones getting the bill. If Boeing elects to fold their tent, airplane production is not at a high, then the taxpayers get the hit. If they elect to stay but seek a government bailout a la GM and Chrysler then the taxpayers get the bill as well.

The logical thing would be to examine the Federal standards versus the State and go with the one that best protects residents. But what are the chances that logic will prevail; especially when a boneheaded judge, the majority seem to be, gets the case.

Hey, mensa....Your liberal, left wing President believes taxpayers
should foot the bill for everything
from "too big to fail" corporations
and failed banking institutions,
to "cash for clunkers"
and 'welfare' stimulus projects.

So why not the clean-up,
which would actually BENEFIT SOCIETY?

And who will compensate my family? My father was exposed to that crap when he worked for Rocketdyne in the 50's and 60's. He died from all sorts of ailments doctors felt were due to exposure there. The Fed's told us to take a hike. So who do we go after? Door to door? It was a Federal program. The Feds should take care of it instead of bailing out banks and other fat cats.

In my opinion, Boeing is stabbing the community in the back, pure and simple. When the state law, passed by the democrat legislature and signed by the republican governor, didn't go their way, they cried their way into federal court. What a bunch of cry babies that company is full of.

Boeing needs to clean up the mess. They own it, they pay for it. They can take their jobs and shove them, I think they have murdered thousands in the community with their poisons and refusal to clean up their mess.

There's jobs and then there's lives. A job doesn't matter if you have terminal cancer, as many in the community have and have had due to the mess Boeing is responsible for cleaning up.
