I still support Bubba.... Do you guys realize the pressure and how many people ask him to look into matters a day!!!! He has made alot of progress over the last yr and I believe that if given the next term he will make more great changes ... So yea the he has my vote!!

Dont get me wrong Bubba has done a good job. I would support him all im saying if he tell you that he will get back with you on something then do it. Dont no if he doesnt get the message that people leave for him all the time or what. But he has done a great job just would have like to no what he found out

I think he listens to Jim Huges too much. Jim pretty much tells Bubba what to do. I have caught Bubba in some lies to. I won't vote for him any more. I think Ricky Hogsed would make a good mayor. Hes got the education and the personality to meet the president. He would be good for Bridgeport.

Ohhh I forgot about Chris Gulley. He would make a good Mayor. He is honest, intelligent, educated and knows how to get things done. He has done a lot for Bridgeport already and had no official position. The things he did came at his own expense.

As for Rickey I don't know him... now think about it. If he done such a good job why change it ... why disrupt his future plans for the city. If you replace the mayor you replace priorities , future planning and stability. Just saying you can't keep changing mayors and expect to maintain a stable future! I think if the position of mayor is held by Bubba Hughes the future of our small town will grow into the prosperous and beautiful city it once was!!! GOOOOOOO BUBBA take the lead and make me proud to be a Bubba fan!!!!!

In some situations you find out answers that are better left alone. Sometimes we also run into what they call catch 22 situations ... the answer may cause some disruption to what we like to call happy go lucky situations... some questions are better left unanswered and the only way we get those questions answered is a quick drive to the person we feel can give a proper answer... I am unsure of your situation or your question in mind but we are on topix go under a different name and post your question as a matter of fact anyone have a question for canidates running for mayor should start a post. What would you like to see change in our city? What is the moral character of the person running for mayor? What kind of dealings have you had with this person good or bad? Those questions and answers should be on display for all the citizens of bridgeport to see .... Just a thought!!!!!! Who agrees

I would like to also add to my last post that If such a post exist it should'nt be a bashing contest . We as people want insite not what trash you can find from twenty years ago about a person .. A persons recent actions should serve as a(n) example of the said person! Also we should keep in mind that peoples relatives are just that their relatives ... The way a persons relatives act or what they have got in trouble for shouldn't affect your opinion of that person... We all have fallen short of the glory of God. And we all have the black sheep in the family who have made mistakes. So before you cast stones at others Stop ... think .... type with caution for every stone cast there is someone waiting to cast a stone back at you !!!!! Just some food for thought from the Doc.

I think Bubba is crooked. He sucks up to the "higher ups" and tells the working people what they want to hear but rarely follows through. He will agree with someone to their face and then shake his head and say "they're crazy" as soon as they walk off. He may try on occasion and he MIGHT care about how this town turns out. But I believe he cares more about how Bubba turns out. Why not a woman mayor? Sonia would make a good mayor, she is smart and really cares, especially about the children of this town- they are the future of this town, not these old codgers who run everything right now but have to die eventually! Sick of the crooked BS!

I can tell you something Bubba needs to do. Make his policemen sit on County Rd. 75 and write some speeding tickets. He has been asked to, but still no tickets are being written. Too many kids live on that road for the speed limit not to be enforced. Come on Bubba, make them do their jobs instead of spending their shifts hitting on the ladies.

Just curious...what person favors are you all trying to get out of the mayor. His job is to listen not solve your all your problems. The result is, he has made a huge improvement for Bridgeport! Look around...it's getting better all the time.
