I think we all remember signing, or at least seeing, a 5+ pages petition for a dog kennel or pound. Its been a couple of years but it laid on the counter at the BP forever. I would like to know what happened to that. Did they shut it down and release them back to the streets? Not trying to be a smart elic but it seems like I can't drive one whole street in Bridgeport without seeing at least one, if not multiple, yards and ditches with trash drug all over. Our little town does have a problem with dogs... but I can also say that more than once I and my neighbors have ran cats out of the trash cans.???? What can we do?

we can solve this problem if we can find middle ground, we all feel strong about the issue, half want to kill half would like to help....bo can't afford this shelter and it would kill one person to do it all...i know a lady that tried for years.....message me on fb if anyone has a few good plans:)

Only bridgeport has a DOG problem. Fits the city perfectly. Heck, most dogs are better than the people that occupy that city!

How about we stay on topic,as with all of these posts, somehow we end up with Jesus and all of the religious mumbo jumbo clouding the original discussion.
The post was regarding the fact that this city has a serious issue with dogs, that are NOT strays, being left to roam at will, with no accountability toward their owners.
One in fact that it appears was shot recently with a firearm that has been seriously injured and now requires surgery near a thousand dollars.
I have no sympathy for that owner, nor any other that takes on any animal, cat or dog, that is allowed to walk da hood and tear up others property.
That said, this could result in escalating this problem to a point where the owners retaliate and thus end up causing people to get shot.
The city, like it or not, must step up to the plate and begin to enfore ordinances that are already in place, before we have more serious problems to deal with, that I am sure all can agree, noone needs.

Jesus is not coming back a DOG. and back in the day if your dog killed someones chickens they had to paid for them or the dog would be dead, end of story.

THis is a serious issue. Our neighbor has 15 dogs and 30 cats. Oh... wait one dog jsut had puppies..... prolly can add at least 6 to that total. She can't feed them. I have one dog and one cat.. both of which are feed and are taken care of. My problem is I can't feed my dog becuase when I pour out a bowl of food.... they all come running. I have to stand over them with a stick. They have jumped on me and almost kncked me down. This is an issue since I am disable and have a hard time walked anyway. If you don't want more animals get them fixed. There are places you can take them and them them fixed at a low cost price now. Gheez.... kinda funny when they love these dogs as pups but they grow older and it is the whole neighborhoods problem then since they run in packs. They think since they got rid of all females it solves the problem..... it doesn't.

Daily Horoscope for June 1

Pisces

It's too easy to get caught up in nit-picking and hair-splitting today, Pisces, especially if you disagree with someone. Why waste time correcting each other and disputing the facts, when none of this will get you very far. You're easily swayed by other people's opinions right now, making it difficult to make up your mind about anything.
