I cannot vote for a Republican this time around for this position for fear of the Tea Parties influence on it.

Ron Wyden helps his constituents here on the South Coast and keeps abreast of the issues that affect us most. As Port Orford Mayor, I have sought and received help from Senator Wyden several times. He is most welcome in our community.

I will vote for anyone other than Ron Wyden for U.S. Senate. I have corresponded with Wyden and his voting record speaks for itself. He always votes blindly in step with Nancy Pelosi and the Obama agenda. This current administration is the most radical socialistic gang that has ever taken power of our country. We need a real change and I'm not talking about the Obama 2008 change that is tearing down our borders and weakening our nation.

Ron Wyden has done a lot for Oregon over the years, but he is no longer an Oregonian. His family lives in New York and he divides his time between Washington, DC and NY. Huffman is yet another GOP tool, playing to the most extreme sides. I won't even start on Delphine, who is yet another Tea Bag candidate funded by out of state backers interested only in distracting America from the very real problems we face. My vote is going to Staggenborg, even though I know he will not win. We must support candidates who are not afraid to stand up against the corporate sponsored candidates!

Maybe Wyden increased food "stamp" benefits? I've lived in Oregon for over six decades, and have visited and contributed to your community for well over thirty years. In that time, I've witnessed your city decline because of: 1) Fishing Reductions, because of over regulation 2) Timber Reductions, because of over regulation 3) Tourist Reductions, because of a sour economy, partly because of the above As Mayor, it's YOUR responsibility to read "the writing on the wall." Put down Port Orford's tin cup, get off your butt, and demand more local control of your own destiny!

Then, "best" means the status quo? Sure, Wyden has continued the entitlement programs, but for how long? WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE MONEY RUNS OUT? Look at Italy and Spain...riots. When the well runs dry, those on the government dole turn hostile. The same is going to happen here, unless we elect...CHANGE. Wyden isn't the answer, he's the problem.

No more Wyden. He votes for Obama's health care even though a majority of voters were against it, and then tries to make Oregon exempt?

Put down Port Orford's tin cup, get off your butt, and demand more local control of your own destiny! Oregon held the line for several decades with what you mentioned. The biggest killer to education and cost came with measure 5 when revenues were redistributed in that state away from rural communities, particularly with Timber Revenue that kept rural communities strong. Not regulating the Oregon Health plan, brought people over the border into our state to get health care, rather than taking care of the children and residents here first. One Party ideology of change without specifics does not a useful change make! Your can't change a mess sent down from the top overnight! Pick the person that will support rural communities not just get the votes of Metropolitan areas!

Wyden is from the old world, from the time when special interests could fill up his coffers and know he would do the right thing by them. His time has passed.
