I moved here from another state two years ago to bring my child up in a better environment. Since Im here there have been kids that have commited suiside on the train tracks and numerous drug busts and crimes right in my backyard.
I worry about the children because children today do not have the structured homes we came from. Now both parents have to work and they are left to there own defenses. Do I believe all children are bad because they don't have a structured environment like we did? No definately not. However, left to themselves they go in the street and do what others do for whatever reason. I worry about my 11 year old every day when I hear these stories. Why are kids from sea girt hanging out with girls from Neptune. Just ask your kids everyday is everything alright. Most of the time they are going to say yes. The one time they actually sit down and talk to you about what's bothering can make the difference between getting in trouble and being safe.

The drug problem in Wall Township and the surrounding ares is out of control. Heroin is the new drug of choice falling in close second are the pills. Kids are going to school high and teachers have no clue.

TheWallPolice.com covers all local crimes including the racist police in that town!

I agree about the drug problem, it's horrific to say the least. Asbury park is still a HUGE importer of heroin and unfortunately it isn't far enough away from us. Although parents are working, a lot, there are ways to keep in touch with your kids. Talk to them. Get to know their friends. I don't know, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about but I did lose my brother to this shit. And I wish my parents would have listened when I told them he was using.

Libra

Whatever you have to say today, you'll do it with charm and grace. This is just what you need if you've got to have a quiet word in someone's ear without offending them forever or putting your foot in it. You'll be amazed by what you can say now, provided you take things slowly and do your best to consider the other person's feelings.
