Downtown billboard encourages the godless | The Columbus Dispatch

This could be considered as an attempt to help those who are lonely and not religiously inspired. One of the biggest megachurches in northern Ohio even has an ad on TV claiming they exist, not for religion, but for a social connection. Only a very few churches subscribe to that thought of universality, and if this non-religious group can make our world a better place, that just might be a good thing.

They are in for a -ELL of a suprise!

Our current political leaders, duly elected, give no evidence of the Christianity of our culture.

Bravo, Coalition of Reason! We need this more than anything here, because you can't walk into any high school in central Ohio without being in danger of being brainwashed by a megacult (you know, the one that starts with the letter "X" and says they're a "Christian Fellowship").

If PRO - GOD signage and displays are not permittd then ANTI - GOD signage should be banned as well.

Quite frankly, I could care less about this billboard. It's meaningless to me because of my deep faith. As long as this group does NOT accept any kind of federal funding, it is none of my business. Honestly, I pretty much ignore billboard ads anyway.

Compelling point. However, PRO - GOD signage and displays are permitted, so the point seems moot. Keep in mind this is a privately owned billboard on private property.

who said pro god aren't permitted? ever drive down 71 and seen those crazy signs about going to hell? your probably confusing public display and governmental displays, but anyway, just thought I'd clear that up as plenty of churches have large signs, not a problem.

Is this group similar to the Jim Jones cult back in the 70's? What should I do if they offer me Kool-Aid.
