I hired GL Hess to refinish my floors. The job was very shoddy in my opinion. The sanding was rough, my trim was scuffed and covered with stain, and a deep gouge was left in one room. This is not what bothered me. The fact that not enough stain was used did. I have been leaving messages asking for nothing more that a reply to why the floor is rough and if there was anything that could be done for almost a month. I am always courteous and take care to be polite. No response. I would be very cautious about using these people. After hiring another company my floors now look great. The second contractor explained to me that not enough stain was used and the final sanding was done with coarse sandpaper. I would appreciate the $562.50 I had to spend to have their mistakes corrected back but I doubt this will ever happen being I can't even speak to a human being at this company.
