Our family had a horrible experience here. We booked a room for a week which required us to pay a $50 deposit. Walking up to our room there was signs that read ‘Please excuse the mess we are renovating’ but there was more obstacles in the hallways than just renovation materials. We entered our room we found that the screen to the window was busted; left in the room against the wall. In the bathroom we found towel racks busted and left unrepaired. My son hurt himself on the broken towel rack. Our room was extremely hot and stuffy though our thermostat was set to 60 it was over 80 and rising. To make ourselves a little more comfortable we opened the window but received a phone call from the front desk informing us they were worried about some pipe freezing and that we had to close it. We left the room however we could not get our deposit back because of their claim that we left the room ‘messy’. In dealing with the front desk the owner personally told us to never come back. I don’t know what we did that was so wrong but I do know that I personally would never want to stay at Vacationland Inn ever again. We hope this review is helpful.
