Another peace-less weekend in Bremen

Why in the world would the rednecks be allowed to run those goofy-ass 4-wheeler and motocross races so close to town ALL WEEKEND long? So much for spending any quiet time outside. Typical Bremen, no planning, no zoning, no consideration for what's right in life - just cater to the rednecks who want to go out and tear things up. Go Bremen! Can't wait to sell and scrape this place from the bottom of my shoe.

Bye. There are four wheelers going up and down my street all the time. I'd much rather they be where they are supposed to be! It's SO dangerous for them to be speeding around the neighborhood. So it's a little noisy...I hear it from my home too. It's a lot better than the sound of sirens if someone were to get hit by a car right in front of your house.

You do realize that the motorcross cost those folks money right? Money they are spending in Bremen, right? Money you aren't spending in Bremen if you are sittng in your backyard griping about the noise, right? Don't wait to sell, move now and rent your home out. Hell, foreclose on it and buy you another one. I am sure there is some type of program out there to help you MOVE ON! If in today's economy and polictically scary times all you have to complain about is some noise from a few dirt bikes you need to move on. We have soldiers dying over seas. We have babies dying right here. We have children that are cold and hungry and lonely. We have men and women who have no idea how they are going to feed and clothe and bathe their children. We have old folks dying because they can not afford their medications. Businesses are going under every day. And you want to complain about the noise of a few dirt bikes. Get out in the community you loathe so much and see if you can make a difference. Look at the poverty that surrounds us and give a little. Be happy that you have a backyard to go out in. Be happy that today you could get out of bed, walk outside and hear the noise those bikes make.

One more thing..... Just becaue you don't enjoy something doesn't make it "Goofy-Ass". Those "rednecks" down there making all that noise, are making it as a family. It is Moms and Dads with sons and daughters enjoying time together. I am SURE there is something you do they think is "Goofy-Ass". Hurts, doesn't it!

Well Miss Blue Devil, I guess when all you know is what you've experienced in this flea bit little town, I can see how you would think that. Sorry to have the OPINION I have, but you see, there is lots more to this world where families spend time together where it doesn't destroy the landscape, doesn't consume precious fossil fuels, and doesn't disturb the peace. Oh yeah, they pay alright - and I'm CERTAIN that the pathetic owners of that place are contributing some of that money to the city. Grow up girl - read a little about the world outside of this hell-hole. Rent my house? Gimme a break. Who'd want to rent it to some redneck idiots who will haul in their 6 broken down pickup trucks, throw beer cans all over the yard, and piss on the lawn? Thanks, but I think I'll sell it - then I can make a clean cut from this place.

I have experienced more. I enjoy living in Bremen. In fact I love it! I also know that you sometimes have to take advantage of your surroundings. That is one activity that is availale in Bremen. Exactly how long have you lived here? The reason I ask is because that motorcross has been out there as long as I can remember. You should have been made aware of this by your realtor if you are so sensitive about your surroundings. I AM certain that the "pathetic Owners" contribute to the city or they would no still be in business. By the way, where exactly do you live that you would attract that kind of clientele to your house. Geesh! If what you say is true, you got bigger issues there than the noise.

I been around the world, Europe, Middle East, Carribean, Central and South America. Heck, I have lived in the Western, Central Plains and up an down the East coast of the United State and I can't think of any place better to live then right here in "redneck" Bremen Georgia. Hey man you are definitely entitled to your opinion. Regardless of some of the stuff you read on here many of us are proud of our hometown. You don't sound like you fit in too well. If you need directions on how to get the hell out of town let me know....there are several ways out. I miss you already....

Yes dude i agree with ex devil there is a way out walk away from the house i did finaly no more church people at my front door and i am in a town that dosent mind drinking in a place to eat and have bars to drink in and wont close down in 30 days lol.
Just take 27 south past Carrolton until you hit the next big town give me a call when you get her still hilljacks in the town just alittle more down to earth !

Was this going on before you bought your house or after? If before, I would say you knew what you were buying into, if after, you do have the right to have some peace esp. at night.

See! Bremen life isn't for everyone. This guy lived here didn't like it and did something about it beside gripe and complain. There are many other lovely towns in Georgia. And if you don't like Georgia there are many other states in the US. The most important thing is to be happy wherever you end up. But just go!

Hey smart one........the motor cross track is outside the city limits......deal with it. its only been there 20+ years. and if you live where i think you do....you go a shitty house anyways so deal with it.....youre just a step away from moving into the trailer park with me! come on down bring ur crown that u won back in the day, we need another horse shoe....lol

The drag strip in New Hope, Georgia was there for many,many years before the subdivisions sprung up and eventually surrounded the drag strip. Your right John, though it reminds me of folks who buy a house near an airport, then complain about the jet noise.

I wonder if anyone reads the mayors letter that comes with your water bill each month??? She noted that the police are getting so many calls about 4 wheelers & golf carts bothering people... Well, hello the police don't have time for that either!!! I just wonder where kids can go to ride? The folks complaining are not really worried about the SAFETY - they are crotchety old people who just want to complain!!! How could a golf cart bother you??? HELLO!!! Does your dishwasher also annoy you???? Do or did your kids have 4 wheelers or dirt bikes? Do your grandchildren? Get a life!!! There are plenty of safe areas around our neighborhoods that could be used and as long as your kids are wearing protection it should be OK. If it bothers you - stay inside but stop whining. There are plenty of REAL issues. This shouldn't be one. Mayor - you seem very nice but please don't let complaining old friends convince you we have a problem. Kids have ALWAYS had 4 wheelers all over Bremen. To my knowledge no one has ever been injured.

My kids have 4-wheelers. I also have enough acerage for them to ride. Unless someone has the permission of the landowner to ride on his property, they are considered trespassers. Alot parents who buy their kids 4-wheelers live on a 1/4 acre lot in a subdivision then complain when soemone doesn't want them on their property.
