The women of Cullman county are arming themselves! This guy picked the wrong community to prey on women! Gun stores are sold out of guns and ammo, even Wal-Mart has no ammo. Racist has no part in this discussion. The only thing that matters is that there is a sicko out there. I have a 20 daughter that I fear for as well as myself. The scariest part of this whole situation is that he has been bold enough to attack some of these women in broad daylight. I will be armed as well as my daughter but I wonder just how much that would help. We all just need to be very aware of our surroundings no matter what time of day. And try not to be out all alone til this is over.

The guy is Hispanic and who's to say if he's illegal or not. It doesn't matter. A friend of mine works at the police dept. and they have reason to believe that it might be a gang initiation type thing. The whole point is that he's attacking in daylight.. They're trying to strike fear in us. Now is the best time to PRAY and be alert. What I'm afraid of is the fact that if it is a GROUP and we only catch one we're still in danger, and I don't understand WHY they have notified the public about the other attempted rapes yet!

Because Cullman likes to keep it's dirty little secrets just that SECRET. I think every citizen has the right to know when stuff like this is happening. How esle are we to be aware and protect ourselves???? If this is gang related which I have heard as well who knows how many a**holes were looking for.

i know how those women feel because when i was 13 i was raped. and yes it's very scary, but it also makes you feel nasty and like you'll never be able to get over it... now granted it's very hard for me to tell someone that i don't know at all.. but if it will give those women who have been raped some comfort then i'm all for sharing my life long nightmare... i'm 18 now and still to this day i wake up sometimes at night because of nightmares... and the sad part about the whole thing was, the girl that was suppose to be one of my best friends is the one who had some of her guy friends drug and rap me... and after it was all said and done... she had told me that she took part in rapping me... that just made me feel even nastyer then i already felt... have to go throw life dealing with that as part of my passed kills me... because i think to myself.. WHAT IF.... so i think it's stupid to agrue over if we got to many mexicans over there in the united states .. we shoukd be focusing on the bigger picture trying to get sexual freaks off the streets and off of our towns... i think if they want to rap someone they should rap eachother.. instead of the people who are trying to get through life as easly as possible...

i saw four cops with somebody in custody that matched that matched description perfect. hopefully it was him.

i usually am not afraid of going out by myself in the dark or daylight but b/c of this creep i am scared all of the time and i never feel safe anymore. i wait for someone to try and bust down the door every second that im awake. every bump and noise i hear i jump. i even have nightmares now because that all i think about in the day time is that creepy dude/dudes attacking differnt places all over. but what are the odds of them finding you?

im a proud citizen of cullman and i hang out in town alot and i see all those girls wearin very sexy lookin outfits and i think to myself that if them and their parents let them out of the house lookin like that there dumbasses cause if they think that the rapist aint goin to notice them they are fuckin idiots cause they are just basicley feedin them to the rapist so parents and woman just think before you and them go out remember that the rapist is goin is goin to notice you in those shorty shorts

In response to "Dumb Parents'" listing, rapists do not go after girls because they are wearing revealing, slutty, or sexy clothes. They are looking for someone who isn't going to put up a fight. Someone who is all alone, probably walking with their head down. A young female walking around in sexy clothes exudes confidence, which is the exact opposite of what they want in a victim.(And any male attacker with common sense would know to stay far away from a girl wearing 5-inch heels.)

Thus, the idea that parents are "feeding" their daughters to the rapist is ludacris. This has nothing to do with girls wearing short shorts and everything to do with one (or several) sadistic, perverted individuals acting out in a horrific, unpredictable manner. Shame on you for placing the blame on potential female victims. Your comments (and the poor spelling and punctuation within) only add to the angry, stupid ignorance that only allows more of these heinous acts to occur.

If people want to help keep themselves safe from these rapists, they need to do some research to understand how and why these men commit rape, and avoid listening to nonsensical ranting and raving about girls wearing short shorts and tight shirts.

i'm a scared 17 year old girl, i live in cullman, and i'm proud of it, but this stuff recently is scaring me i mean i know i have a tazor and some mace, but i don't know if it's enough, so i'm just gonna cary a machetti with me all of the time

I just dont understand why everyone is aruguing on here. The point is, THERE IS A SERIAL RAPIST IN OUR COMMUNITIES!! This is very disturbing and makes me sick to my stomach. I heard today that he has attacked and raped someone in Hartselle in Sparkman Park. Also, he was luring a 4th grade little girl away from her school,but luckily her teacher saw and stopped him.
I think that instead of pointing out OUR flaws,that now is the time to come together and figure out how to put a stop to this, go back to living without looking over our shoulders and fearing that every bump in the night is that monster!
I am truly bothered by this and pray that he gets caught and no one else has to go through this again.

Don't be scared in our on town ladies if this guy is still around he is probably trying to find a way out of cullman. I wouldn't worry about it to much you will waste away your life and i'm not saying don't be prepared. Ladies sign up for the self defense classes at cullman pd. They are also doing a wepons class sometime soon to. so instead of being afraid of our own town get the knowledge you need to not feel frightened. Trust me i know what fear is i am the brother of 4 sisters a husband and a father to a little girl but i cant stop them from living normal lives all i can do is prepare them for the unexpected.
