Cheryl, a night clerk at Krogers North was assualted by a customer about ten days ago. Has anyone heard how she is? Did they catch the guy?

I guess the guy was trying to steal booze and when she confronted him, he beat her up. This was during the night shift. Kroger now has a guard posted at the store during nightime hours.

I have been there a few times when customers have gone stupid, they need a guard all the time, my incounters where in daylight.

I was told that Cheryl is recovering from the physical attack, but the psychological affect is something she is also dealing with. Kroger employees have been verbally abused for some time during the night shift.

I think I read about it on tribstar and the guy was arrested. I remember being in Kroger Wabash and some guy came running in there and started a fight with a worker.

I was in the North Kroger one time around 5 am and there was an 80 year old-looking guy in there with no shirt and about 5 hubcaps around his neck on a length of twine. He wasn't assaulting anyone though.
