The best thing about Sunday's party at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center is what it isn't. Held to honor Mara Williams' 20 years of service to the museum, the brunch bash was originally planned with the idea that it might be a retirement party.

Why the random insult to Ware? Where did that come from? Ware is a lovely little town on the Quabbin Reservoir in the middle of Massachusetts. It's certainly not "decrepit." Most of the people reading this story don't know anything about Ware, so it didn't add anything to the story to use it as a comparison. Plus you hurt our feelings!
