What is perverted about a hug? I am asking you if you if your denomination allows hugging between adults, adults and children and between children. If you see something perverted in that then I am truly sorry of you son.
With the way the laws are nowadays are you kidding? You can't even look at somebody without being accused of sexual harassment or sexual abuse.

No I'm not, but it is much better to get married and remain faithful with all the diseases that are out there. That is the ONLY method of safe sex that has proven to work. That's basically what marriage is for, for procreation and to express your love and not have to worry about getting an STD as long as both are faithful to each other. And before you pervert that remark, marriage in the Bible is only for a man to a woman, not to a person of the same sex.
I didn't fugure ya did, but you sure stepped in it with that one.

I agree that marriage, fiedllity and devotion are wonderfull things. I never considered fear of disease to be the reason to get married or stay faithful. You got some unusual notions. Course that only works if both parties abide. Marriage is a ceromony and exsited long befor the Bible or Christianity. Numerous iterations have been tried through out history. I never seen Christian as being so week that it couldn't survive change. Marriage doesn't even have to involve two people that love each other. Sometimes it hasn't involved two people that wanted to be married. In some cultures it has been a man and several women including in the Bible. Probably too heterosexual for you I guess. There are even places in the world where one woman was married to several men.

There you go accusing me of something I aint done and wasn't going to do. False witness again. You are just sinnin like the wind today. If you ever find your self talking about how you don't lie, remember your posts to old Roy Wulff and mind your tongue.

I'd be mildly curious / to see SPC's response to your prior. In his priors / he's demonstrated a tendency to be a bit humorless / prickly / to readily take offense to others' posts / even when the other poster meant no offense. I too see nothing wrong / with an appropriate hug from a grandfather to a grandson / granddaughter.

Some religions prohibit / seem to cast the most negative light on any contact between their flock / others / even their close family members / make such contact appear perverse / suspicious. I've found / they appear to have some of the most geeked out / uptight folks as members. No surprise / they struggle in the real World.

IMHO / we see SPC struggle with normalcy / the real World here / every day.

One more time. Does your church or don't your church allow hugging? Do you or don't you allow your children to hug others?

Chipper you didn't answer my question. Them are certainly reasons why you wouldn't allow it but don't say nothing about whether it is allowed.

I didn't say nothing that was perverted. I know that. I am just kind of wanting to know how for his church goes. I know folks that belong to the Church of Christ but we never got into discussion of their doctrine.

I saw your other post and I tend to go along with that. The more you repress folks the more they seem to burst when free of that repression. I know a teacher who had this nice pretty wife he met in college. She came from a real strict religious home with no TV, dancing, parties and such. When she got to college she didn't know how to handle it. She just went wild, didn't finish school and eventual ran off with another man after she got married to the teacher. It happens without that upbringing, but I think it happens more often to those with it.

It didn't require it for churches, but for the business that churches run, e.g. hospitals. It doesn't require anyone to take the pill. It did give them until 2013 to implement it. Now it requires the insurance companies to include it in all policies they issue. You'll notice the insurance companies didn't complain, because it's cheaper for them to have family planning covered than paying for births and cancers that the pill prevents.

Chuck Norris Chops Rick Santorum For Past Support Of Mitt Romney

Chuck Norris wants everyone to know the facts about Rick Santorum.

In an article for World Net Daily on Sunday, the actor and martial arts legend explains why he chose to endorse Newt Gingrich for president last week and gives a detailed account of why he thinks the former Pennsylvania senator is the wrong candidate to represent the Republican party in November.

"How can the alternative to Romney also be a Romney supporter?" Norris asks, citing Santorum's support for Mitt Romney during the 2008 election:

Just three years ago in his interview with radio host and conservative commentator Laura Ingraham, Santorum also emphatically told millions of listening Americans: "If you're a conservative, if you're a Republican, there is only one place to go, and that's Mitt Romney."
Why an alleged conservative like Santorum would fight for the flip-flopping Massachusetts moderate on the presidential campaign trail, especially in light of the fact that Huckabee and even McCain were running then with a much clearer conservative record, I will never know.

Norris' op-ed comes on the heels of Santorum's sweep last week of the Colorado and Minnesota caucuses and the Missouri primary, and a sharp rise in the polls which has put Santorum ahead of Gingrich.

In addition to Santorum's past support of Romney, Norris cites key components of Santorum's record as a Pennsylvania senator that are likely to irk conservative voters, such as his strong support for earmarks, votes to raise the debt ceiling, and past support for Medicare Part D.

"We truly believe Newt's experience, leadership, knowledge, wisdom, faith and even humility to learn from his failures (personal and public) can return America to her glory days," Norris writes, explaining why he and his wife, Gena, are supporting Gingrich. "He is the best man on the battlefield who is able to outwit, outplay and outlast Obama and his billion-dollar campaign machine."

Norris' support for Gingrich has landed him a spot on the front page of Gingrich's campaign website, along with other key supporters. Yet until recently, Norris has kept specific details behind his support under the radar.

Maybe it's because it was old news to them.....

UPDATE 3-U.S. says insurers must fully cover birth control
Mon Aug 1, 2011
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/08/01/usa...

Insurance companies have stayed quiet because of the litigation going on. There is nothing for them to gain by speaking out or complaining. But if you think companies like the idea of one man, Obama (or anyone else), just mandating and telling them what to do then you really are a brain washed fool.

http://www.politicususa.com/en/obama-independ...

According to the new Pew Research poll, Independents are fleeing Mitt Romney and embracing
President Obama at a brisk clip. Obama’s support with Independents now tops 50%.

The new Pew Research poll found that Mitt Romney is in the midst of an epic slide with Independent voters. In November, Romney led Obama, 53%-42% with Independents. The margin stayed just about the same in mid-January as Romney led the president, 50%-40% with Independents, but something has happened over the past month as Independents now support Obama, 52%-44%.

President Obama has gained eleven points with Independents over the last month, while Mitt Romney has lost eight points. Going back to November, Obama has gained ten points with Independents while Romney has dropped eleven. The overall match up between Obama and Romney has swung six points since November from Obama leading 49%-47% to Obama leading 52%-44%

We have way to many churches in this town!
Sooo... lets build a new one!!!
and on this day let it be known that whosoever
shall enter into this church shall have fun and experience the holy spirit in a new way a better way a more comfortable and socially acceptible way... my way.
just give me ten percent of your pay each month and we will accept you as a member and you can be a part of the congregation and enjoy all the fun activities we do together,we will also have pot lucks and poker to build a communal relationship with eachother.
this church will also have a basement with padded walls sleeping mats blankets and a cooler with food and another with water so bring your kids and put them in the basement for a nominal fee so you can have the rest of the day free!!!
so come on down and then later on you can talk to your friends about it and they can tell their friends about it and then we can start spreading rumors about it and have yet another church that is the same as every other church in town .

I think with all of our churches we could start a war,but each church disagrees with the naxt church and none ofem that i know work together unlesss they can benifit from it politicaly and gain money
so i guess we will not have a war but there are enough to cause civil unrest and perhaps if we could find a topick the created a huge amount of opposition between them all then we might be able to clear some ofem out.
just sayin thats all.

/www.speaker.gov/News/Document Single.aspx?DocumentID=280105

McCarthy (R-CA) today released the following statement on the status of the payroll tax cut conference negotiations:

“We support the work of our conference negotiators and continue to support a responsible resolution that extends current payroll tax relief, reforms and extends unemployment insurance, and includes a Medicare ‘doc fix.’ Republicans have attempted to reach an agreement and negotiated in good faith for months, and we will continue to do so. Unfortunately, to date, Democrats have refused virtually every spending cut proposed – insisting instead on job-threatening tax hikes on small business job creators – and with respect to the need for an extension of the payroll tax cut, time is running short.

“Because the president and Senate Democratic leaders have not allowed their conferees to support a responsible bipartisan agreement, today House Republicans will introduce a backup plan that would simply extend the payroll tax holiday for the remainder of the year while the conference negotiations continue regarding offsets, unemployment insurance, and the ‘doc fix.’ If Democrats continue to refuse to negotiate in good faith, Republicans may schedule this measure for House consideration later this week pending a conversation with our members. Democrats’ refusal to agree to any spending cuts in the conference committee has made it necessary for us to prepare this fallback option to protect small business job creators and ensure taxes don’t go up on middle class workers.

“This is not our first choice. Our goal is to reach a responsible agreement in conference. But in the face of the Democrats’ stonewalling and obstructionism, we are prepared to act to protect small businesses and our economy from the consequences of Washington Democrats’ political games.”

Agree. The Neo-CONs profess to hate welfare, but THEY take a lot of it -- the HIGH-PRICED kind of welfare, like national defense, roads, and education. They are like "Cousin Clem," who just never seems to be able to pick up the check, or to pay his own way!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aquarius

You won't like it if you feel your wings are being clipped today. You want to do something in particular, only to discover that someone is objecting to your plans or that circumstances beyond your control are standing in your way. Although your instincts tell you to throw a tantrum to get your point across, you must ask yourself what this will achieve, and whether it will actually be self-defeating.
