WHY IS IT THAT YOU CAN BE DRIVING ALONG ON HWY 25 OVER THE LIMIT A FEW MILES AND YOU GET PULLED OVER AND WRITTEN A SPEEDING TICKET WHICH IS GOING TO COST YOU AROUND 200 BUCKS NOW SINCE THE STATE RAISED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR A TICKET NOW.....BUT WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING HERE THEY COME WIDE OPEN...NO SIREN....NO LIGHTS...USUALLY TALKING ON A CELL PHONE OR WINDOWS SO BLACKED OUT YOU CAN'T EVEN SEE THE TROOPER...AND THEY'RE DRIVING WIDE OPEN.....NEARLY BLOW YOU OFF THE ROAD WHEN THEY PASS BY YOU....AND YOU NEVER SEE A WRECK AHEAD....WHO'S ABOVE THE LAW????

That's everywhere bro! I got behind a trooper not long ago and i had to drive 100 to keep up with him. I kept up with him for about 10 miles and he run off and left me. About 5 minutes later I found him....he had driven ahead and parked and turned his car around to catch me...HA HA...I had slowed down! WHY WAS HE WIDE OPEN? HE WASN'T GOING TO A WRECK! HE WAS SEEING HOW MANY WOULD FOLLOW HIM GOING FAST WHERE WE COULD TURN AROUND AND CATCH THEM!

I agree with yall. They think they are above the law but in fact they break more traffic laws than the citizens do. Why do you think so many people dont respect the lawmen? I know I dont respect them or trust them. If you report them for driving at high speeds or whatever they have to do an investigation to see why they was driving like that. That info came from an ex lawman that I know personally.

Tell you what happened to me on Hwy 6 between Batesville and Clarksdale. I was leading a group of about 6 cars and this Highway Patrol E19 came around me doing about 100 mph and he turned around at the end of HWY 6 in Clarksdale and I was the first one he came to, so he stops me for speeding, now mind you he just passed me and I havent changed my speed either. Well while he was writing me a ticket I called a highway patrolman that I know and told him what happened and he said he had no write to write me that ticket but that they have there own rules up in that area and they have so many complaints about them. So if you are in that area keep a look out for E19 and E21. THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW AND DONT TRUST THEM AT ALL.

Has anyone read about this story? Brandon-Questions linger in fatal wreck!!! Some say the police cruiser had no lights or sirens on, some say he did. But from the damage and the accident scene he was apparently driving in excess of the speed limit; supposedly on a burglary call. Also, this was around midnight. We have all seen local police speeding down the road with no blue lights; why is this so hard for some people to imagine? The teenager was apparently on his was to pick up some friends and then off to a party. The friends were waiting on him just down the road at the local Dairy Queen and actually saw the cruiser before the teen did, without lights/sirens, minutes before the accident. Why would they lie? What purpose would they have to lie? Too many questions and the Rankin Sheriff's office & Brandon Police won't comment. Sounds like a cover-up but, of course, the police would not do such a thing. Ha!

whatever concerned. The kid had been drinking and marijuana in his system per the autopsy. The Officer had lights and sirens on, the camera in the patrol car will show that.. Think before you speak.

think before YOU speak. the officer had no sirens on, he was approaching a burglary and had turned audible off. as not to scare away the suspect. And the teen had a bac of .07 wich is below the legal limit for adults(.08) but over for someone under 21(.02). its a technicallity !!! the officer was going 70 mph in a 45 mph zone. while not fully responsible,he does bear some responsibility. a cop killed a kid. bottom line.
did the kid see the cop comming?if so why didnt he yield? HE IS A KID
did the cop see the kid comming?if so why didnt he slow down? HE IS A COP!!!!!!! hard case to decide.. but dont just write the kid off...honestly.07 bac. the kid was not wasted at all.

im not sure if they are above the law so much as just stupiid! they are supost to be an exaple for us and they wonder why so many can't drive..... I drive a truck and we are held to a higher standard. we get called in on and we for the most part are repremanded! I believe it is the higher powers that have fell short and it will take an example to get the point across... I.e. a trooper killing a bus load of school children. they need to slow down and be the pillars of the community that WE pay for.

Let me give you another example of POLICE ABOVE THE LAW. Super Bowl Sunday I was going to Cleveland and just past the Natchez Trace Parkway on 49 South I had one pass me I know going 100 because I got up to that to see how fast he was going. Guess where he was going? A Church about 4 miles down the hwy. And they wonder why so many people have no respect for them!!!!!

I hope all everyone of you that is downing the law get enough tickets to put yall under the jail. If you were a trooper you wouldn't run yours mouths like that, bc it would be ok for you to drive so fast all the time. So why dont you all just shut up and get down and do whats rite.

It is obvious no one listens to JT and Dave. According to them we give the right to law enforcement to break the law. Funny, no one asked me.

I listen to JT and Dave often and you are right to them Law enforcement has no laws they have to follow. But I know for a fact that speeding highway patrol, city police or other enforcement has to follow the same laws as average citizens, that info came from a retired law enforcement person. If a complaint is made about one of them speeding or whatever and internal investigation is suppose to take place. You and I know that never happens because again "ABOVE THE LAW"!

What expertise do you have with bac? I dare to say that if you yourself were at a .07 bac you wouldnt feel comfortable driving.

Well I think that it is their job....as a soldier killing somone in time of war is legal sooooo. Speeding is legal for a Trooper. If they drove the speed limit all the time how would they catch ppl violating the LAW. If you want to make the law better join them.. other than that stop complaining....

Well, as a career soldier I never equated killing with speeding. Maybe Gary knows something I don't. That said, I've met a number of troopers who are damn good people.

Well put yourself in their shoes...If you were in a patrol car and you wrked late and wanted to get home you would speed too.. especially if you knew you could get away with it. You can speed too, but just watch out for the troopers that are on patrol that just came in on their shift... You are right tho because there are some out there that think they are above the law. Like I said before.... Ppl like you should be on the force rather than them.

You are right Suzie I have friends who are state troopers and they are people just like we are.. Not machines or control freaks but ppl with families and problems too. There are good ppl in this world and there are bad ppl and just because they all wear the same color doesnt mean that they all are bad.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Taurus

The sad fact is that a certain person isn't making much sense right now. They seem to be talking nonsense, or maybe they've got the wrong end of the stick but are hanging on to it for grim death and refuse to let you correct them. Mind you, there's also the possibility that you're the one who has got themselves in a muddle but doesn't realize it. Scary!
