I too have to sy about Tampa Jag that there customer service sucks. I did not but from them. But I own a 2000 XJ8 and live in Ocala. I e-mailed them about bringing my car in for the 50K service. They never answered me. I guess they do not need my buisness.

I have also had bad experiences at Jaguar of Tampa, based on a hand written from the service manager to the consumer complaint in Tallahassee.
I have a 1995 Jaguar XJ6 that has always been serviced by Jaguar, but Jaguar of Tampa has the worst service department Mechanics and service advisors.
Don't take your car there for service if you can avoid it, your car may come back worst then it went in.

There are privateers who work on these models that would be happy to have your business..... The dealerships only want you on the front end when you are paying BIG BUCKS for the most notorious break down car every sold.... and then they don't want to service them.... nice cars... but will NEVER ever own one. I have seen far too many of my friends deal with the many issues involved.....

I looked at a car at Jaguar of Tampa .. I was Psyically asualleted and the key to my Rolls-Royce was destroyed due to an over reaction of Rob Elder and the Used car Manager Rob Mckinnon. Not only did I but my car elsewhere, My friends have bought their cars else where too. I tried to solve the problem, and Mr. Elder tells everyone how right he is by assulting people. I won't rest until this case is brought to court

Please refer to my Hillsborough County arrest record. No one at Jaguar of Tampa did anything to me. I took one of their cars for an extended test drive and gave them disconnected phone numbers so they couldn't find me. I also used a fake German accent when I was visiting the dealership. You can see from my arrest record that I have a few "Grand Theft Auto" arrests and now I understand why Jaguar of Tampa came and picked up their car. They do have an excellent dealership and if I could buy a car, I would purchase it from them. By the way, you can review my arrest record at the following links:

I have purchased 5 cars from Rob, Brian and Company. I have always been pleased. Scott and now Maggie in service have always taken care of me. I would encourage you to look at the things that a Dealership can't control, such as Jaguar's policy on warranty items. I have never seen anyone happy about having to pay for a repair. I have over the years and five Jags, never paid for anything but brake jobs, service and the things I screwed up on my own.

Is the same as all car dealerships, smoke & mirrors and if their lips are moving their lying. We all know car dealers are crooked play bait and switch games with one goal and that is to screw you. When you drive off the lot their bragging I got a 5 pounder he is buried. They steal your trade by appraising your car 2 grand behind rough Black book and then resell it for 5-6 grand more than they gave you. Never let a dealer find you financing they bump the rate so you pay more intrest so they make more money. Not only that they try to sell you a extended warranty paint protection gap insurance credit life its all backend money more profit for them. Go to a credit union and get a loan and any additional products listed above and saves many thousands of dollars. Remember the dealer is there for one thing and that is to get your money, he is not your friend. Remember he is making money off the car he sold you and making money off of the car you traded making interest money if you finance through him and making money off of any products the F&I Manager can sell you. Why give the dealer thousands of dollars profit when you can keep it in your pocket. Think when buying a car the guy in front of you is not your friend his smile is a smile of knowing he is going to make a lot of money off of you.

I am just amazed and sickened over the horrible and slanderous allegations made against Jaguar of Tampa. Never once did I get the run-around........in fact, quite the opposite. Frank my service advisor actually found ways to keep charges off of my bill. He warrantied things that I thought would be 'customer pay' and kept me abreat of all situations. This is not a Toyota or Chevy or Ford store where advisors herd customers intn o a waiting area like cattle. True, Maggie is a little slow and the service manager is always out of his office doing erands around the dealership but all in all, nowhere else will you get the attention like you will here. Ever been to Mercedes of Tampa? I would not lett my dog sleep in the waiting rooms. Wall paper falling off, broken toilets, filthy atmosphere....geez

As I write this from my home north of the dealership, I must warn readers that a few of these comments were made by competing dealers or just plain punks that need attitude adjustment. This is a first class run dealership, a store that proudly shares the Elder name, a store that makes the customer NUMBER ONE above all other things. The Rolls Royce comment is bogus and efforts are being made to track down this culprit as the Hillsborough Co Sheriff Dept has narrowed his URL down to a block of homes in the Tampa area.
Secondly, I pride myself on hiring the best help I can find. The service writers that I have employed are by far the most caring people I have ever seen. My sales staff is very non-confrontational and will help you in every way possible. If you have a problem, come and see me and I will walk you through each and every sales process. I do not mind. I will offer you cold refreshments, coffee, or even give you a lunch or dinner voucher at Carabbas/Outback/Flemings if your sales experience keeps you here during meal hours. Please give us a try and disregard those hateful and untrue comments posted earlier. We have many, many happy customers here that do not want to go anywhere else to purchase a vehicle. The dealership will exceed your standards unlike other new stores in the area. Like the customer said in a previous comment, "have you ever been to Mercedes on Dale Mabry"? This alone will make you believe that this IS the best dealership in Tampa. Thank you. Regards.......Brian
