Are they still looking for the person(s) who murdered Mary Anne Kacin?

Everyone deals with tragedy differently. Some cry, some withdraw, some feel anger, and some trust the police. Re-focusing on your original intention is good. I pray you find peace during your investigations. Keep safe, I love my family.

This is the last thing i will ever have to say in regards to everything written here.

I had a bond with my mother.We understood each other.I remember,as a kid,sitting there and telling her stories over chipped ham sandwiches and as i grew older she had a really uncanny knacht to know me better then i knew myself.

She taught me so many things

When i had a hard time tying my shoes..she made a cardboard replica,with eyelets and everything,and the two of us would sit there and practice together for hours.

She taught me forgiveness.

She taught me love of family.

She taught me how to be a good man when dealing with others.

She was always so generous when dealing with other people and their feelings.

When Grandpap died she was so hurt over how some of the family only cared about his money.

She was a good woman.She was a very good woman.

You have no right to blame me because you did not know our relationship..you could never know how close i was to her or what she taught me of life or how much her death hurts me.

That's it. I'm done responding here.If someone from the family wants to talk to me then they know how to get in touch.

The only reason this was listed as a suicide is that Mary Anne Kacin was not important to the police, detectives, or community. If this had happened to a rich family's child or spouse, a politician or a celebrity, it would not have ended so quickly.
I agree.

I was friends with her Daughter when we were in High School. I remember going to there apartment and she would always be getting ready for work. I feel so bad that this case has not been solved. I do not think she killed herself. It makes no sense. I feel the authorites involved just dismissed it because they didnt care, or maybe they are covering up for someone. Who knows. Just my thoughts.

I'm new to this. I know it's been about a year since your loss, so on a whim I googled "Mary Kacin, Munhall" and found this blog.

I'm not printing my name, but you know me and I used to live on the floor beneath you and your mother. I've since moved as of August 1.

I'm stunned by some of the comments. It all amounts to gossip, and I'm sorry you have to endure this on top of your loss.

I remember the nights sitting with you on the porch and just b.s.-ing. You're a good guy and I can't tell you enough how sorry I am.

I just want to say that I had a wonderful conversation today with my niece and nephew. I want to apologize to both of them on this forum for anything I said that would have offended them or caused them any pain. We all handle grief in many different ways and I used this forum to express myself.

With that being said, I will continue to seek answers to my questions and will hope to find the truth.

If you have information then contact the Munhall Police or the Allegheny County police.
If not and you feel you know something then i'm sure both departments would be happy to ask you questions.
The next comment made here i am going to direct to both.

Since some of you here feel like you have so much information regarding my mothers death,i have contacted the Allegheny County police and directed them to this site.

Ok, I will start. At the funeral home LLB walked up to me and pointed out the neighbor and wispered in my ear that "There's the guy that did it." I played along with him, but why would LLB be so at ease in trying to get me to think this guy who lived below Mary would do this to her? And the funny thing, LLB didn't have an ounce of anger in his voice. Wouldn't Mary's best friend/x-boyfriend what to pull that guy's throat out?? How could he be so calm.... Why did LLB even think someone did this if her death was being considered a suicide??? This is why none of the circumstances surrounding your mom's death has made any sense, NONE! It only leads to more suspicion that people know more than they have told the police. So, if the police or detectives are reading this, please help the family resolve this murder so that we can remember the good old days with Mary Anne and not constantly want to find her killer... Please Help!

Any news in the area lately? I'm on the road this week - Liberty, MO and then Houma, LA. What a crappy week! It's cold here in MO and the rain is close to turning into snow. I had to come home early from my business trip as I found out that I've been walking around with pneumonia for a week. My ears are still ringing from the flight. Makes me want to get the H1N1 vaccine.

I am watching the Food Network "Tyler's Ultimate Turkey Mole." Looks fantastic. A lot of work, but home cooked meals are worth it. I've a batch of Italian Sauce cooking on the stove and my house spells delicious. Have a great weekend everybody!

Just a reminder that I am coming to town next week. I would like to meet with as many people as possible. And I can't wait to get some of Tom's fresh donuts. They are fantastic!

I am in Munhall and I have been knocking on doors. I have the names of two druggies (Hank & Mario) and they know each other. One was questioned by the police and released. I have also seen pictures of the crime sceen where Mary Anne was found. I've seen it all! Does anybody want to add to this?

I could have sworn that a man in a suit was eavesdropping on us yesterday. Very strange! If anyone wants to talk I have a private email account. I'm really disappointed that I have not heard from One Who Escaped!!! If you heard something, it's time to share it with me. I have seen the pictures of my sister at McBride Park and have my own ideas as to what happened. I'm starting to think that your brother made that story up. One Who Escaped - we think you have our sister's murder confused with another that occurred at McBride Park many years ago. They found that killer about a month ago.

We have the county detectives working on this case again. They initially dropped the case because no one questioned the final outcome, so that is why it was reported as a suicide. They are starting to visit people and ask questions so we are hopeful that who ever was involved will be caught.

Please pray for this family so that everyone can find peace and the truth.
