What an awesome man!!! Let's hope nobody from the ACLU sees this article, though. He seems to be a Christian, and he teaches morals. Both of those things go completely against their beliefs.
i know him and i'm sure he doesn't shove jesus at the kids. he just has those beliefs. i worked with him and he never mentioned it.

perhaps Ben Y is jaded by life's experiences but I see Mr. Franklin as a person who believes in what he does apparently does it well. I do not believe Mr. Franklin is intersted in gaining fame; he just wants to continue to do what he loves!!!

Perhaps Ben Y SHOULD GEt ovER it!!!!

Thank you for this article. It is an inspiration to veterans and and beginners alike. "Responsibility, self-respect and respect for others" as Mr. Franklin states are most important. His attitude and dedication attest to the life sustaining value of a whole education. Congratulations, Mr. Franklin and thank you for giving to so very many.

Very inspiring article. I can see myself doing the same thing because students need more than a teacher, they need someone who is willing to be there for them. I also coach football, basketball, and baseball. I was also a sponsor for The National Honor Society and all gave me a view of the students that made me feel good about my profession and the good students. Being with the students in other settings besides the classroom changes your perspective about students. All teachers need to see this and keep it close by. I will post it in my class. Thanks!

Didn't someone say that if you do what you LOVE, you never work a day in your life?
Mr. Franklin's life is evidence of the truth of this statement.

As a former student of the Haskell Public School System, I am please to discover that Mr. Franklin or Prof as many of us know him, is still teaching. It has been twenty years since I walked the school halls, but I have never forgotten the love this man has shown to us. In his eyes we were all equal. It didn't matter our race, religion or social standing; he loved us all. His compassion for others and dedication to the job has inspired me thoughout my life. I am truely delighted to know that he has been honored for his years of service.

I bet you wouldn't have your children "taut" by such an inadaquit a teacher.
Actually, I would. I have experienced many different teaching styles throughout my educational career.(Which happens to be through Masters.) Don't slam someone unless you know what you're talking about.

As I begin my fortieth year as a teacher of English, I am inspired by Mr. Franklin. May God continue to bless him as he not only teaches math but also demonstrates Christian values.

Mr Franklin is truly an inspiration to us all. I am 80 years and studying toward a Masters Degree in Special Education in the hope of teaching a student that needs extra help.

This man is the epitemy of what every human being should strive to be. I would love to shake his hand and tell him "thank you" for everything he has done before teaching and during teaching. This is the person who should be at the White House having a beer with the President. He deserves it and sooo much more. Thank you Mr. Haskell.
I wish I had him as a teacher. He is really a very sweet man. Yes I do go to his school. He would love to shake anyones hand that is thankful. He is really great. Every1 loves him.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Capricorn

Someone is in a finger-wagging mood and unfortunately they seem to be concentrating on you! Maybe they think you've fallen from grace for some reason, or perhaps you're simply the only person who happens to be around when they feel like letting off steam. Do your best not to fall into an equally critical and disgruntled mood, because it will soon make you feel wretched.
