But the Broward sheriffs is still oblivious to cost cutting. They gave the officers nice raises, and are not cutting back on the use of vehicles. They are charging a nominal fee for out of county take home vehicles, which does not cover the actual costs. Miramar just bought gas guzzling suvs, for their police. Most police depts. still are using Crown Vics, and Chargers, instead the more fuel efficient Impalas. As long as they can get away with burning up taxpayer money, they will.

I am sick and tired of all the whining about oil prices. You small minds have no idea how you hurt the environment with your cars and airconditioning. I don't care if you lose your job! We must care for the environment and stop all cars. Get used to $4-$8 a gallon gas, it's here to stay. I know we Democrats have done everything we can to block oil production, all gas production, import of these products, refining gas and make new taxes for global warming. Just shut your yap and pay up! We'll let Castro and Chavez pump oil within sight of Key West but we won't let the United States pump oil so Americans can have affordable gasoline. Don't you know what's good for you? Now shut up and listen to our minions in the media and VOTE OBAMA. OBEY OBAMA. AMERICA IS AN OBAMA NATION!

Wow what is your malfunction?

Don't know what you may have made all your money in... if in fact you are well off and not just some tard popping off to popp off.... but the raise in gas prices is affecting everything and will continue to.

If the avg. consumer can't stretch their dollars anymore, expendable income goes out the window and that affects business owners and the bottom line profits of business.

If you are in fact such a success you'd realiize that and wouldn't be showing such ignorance of this problem.

I think you're just some douche bag trying to play big man on a message board. Unfortunately for you, you're only making yourself look like an arse. Congrats

Yeah, and they make more money than we do, and they get a months PAID vacation every year, and they get FREE healthcare if i got all of that ( which is subsidized by that 7-10 a gallon gas i wouldnt care either..all those taxes on fuel over there pays for those things, for OUR high fuel prices what do we get???????? NOTHING, so you cant compare apples with oranges and what they get for those prices. Now, with that said and all that out of the way...what does one have to do with the other, should I be happy because as you say...europe pays 10 a gallon in some places, thats supposed to make me feel good somehow because i "only" pay 5.00, spoken like a true liberal.

What a bunch of gouging going on from Publix all the way to your water bill. Fuel, fuel, fuel, so EVERYTHING goes up. How much you wanna bet if gas prices went down to $1/gallon, the Publix prices, the water bills, etc. will STAY outrageous. They're on the gouging bandwagon.

Macy's just laid off a third of our store's employees but I'm OK with that as long as we get Obama in office. My husband is a Firefighter and my father works for the city, so they just got a raise and we're doing great. We have to do something about Global Warming so it's just a small sacrifice for some people to loose their jobs. Plus, with so many fat people, eating a little less won't hurt either. I'm happy that Obama will be our next President - he's a great speaker and I even have a tape of his speaches I keep in my Explorer. If we all put windmills in our back yards, we'll be fine. Obama will raise taxes so you could even get a tax break to put one up. They are only about $50,000 for a small one and they will help save the enviroment.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
