How safe is this area? I have seen alot of negative posts about boynton unless you are west of jog road.
Its safer if when you move there, you join one of the a Haitian gangs. May I recommend Top 6, very good, they were actually featured on History Channel program about gangs. Lovely!

I was just looking for San Raphael's office number online when I stumbled across this forum.
I've just moved in as a renter in San Raphael. We were pretty terrified about the approval process, as we are both in college. It turned out our credit was much better than we thought and we were approved. It took FOREVER. It came to the point where the office got irked with our very nice realtor who was just trying to check the status of the approval. Then our landlord called and threatened to quit paying his association fees, and that finally got us in.
Renaissance Commons is a very nice area in general. Yes, they are strict, but they just want to keep it a nice place. I do agree that the broken garage doors in San Raphael as well as the "broken" indoor basketball court is unacceptable. The owners pay the association a lot of money, so where does it go?
I've only met two girls in the office. The higher up Sydney is quite nice. The girl Alicia sucks. She is completely unhelpful. You're best off having a good relationship with your landlord, as they don't really listen to renters.
The pool, gym, and clubhouse are fabulous. For some reason our keys worked after 10pm and although it was against the rules, the security let us keep playing pool and enjoy our drinks.
On to the topic of the parking security on golf carts...One is a real ball buster, but I guess he just doesn't want to lose his job? There are plenty of parallel spots that are public and don't require guest tags. We had some friends out on the balcony one night and I guess we got too loud, the security came to politely ask us to keep it down. After profusely apologizing, as I didn't want to get started on the wrong foot, the security said it wasn't a problem there is just an old bat living on the 4th floor who complains about EVERYTHING.
So in all, I like the place. The lawns and pool are always kept in nice condition, and it's very quiet. I would really recommend, especially since its such a good deal. We scored a spacious 2/2 for $1,175 a month, that includes all of the utilities except for power. Setup was a breeze.
And I agree, the water pressure isn't the best in the world.
Hope this helps!

I am renting at renaissance and have been suffering with a cough for a few months now. I heard that there is a chinese drywall problem. Does anyone know what buildings are effected or is it the whole community. If it is, is there anyway for the owner to get rid of it and if not are they responsible for my moving expensives or any rebate on rent....

Gangs are out west and we all need to be aware. I feel completely safe in the area. Keep safe and aware of your surroundings.

Have you stayed there since purchasing and if yes what's the situation with the water pressure? I am considering purchasing also as a second home for seasonal use but am concerned about all the negative comments I am seeing. Any information would be helpful.

I am considering purchasing in San Raphael for seasonal use. What is the situation with the water pressure, cable and internet that others have commented on? Also, have you stayed there since purchasing and what additional thoughts can you share?

The water pressure is awful here in San raphael! People are VERY unfriendly. My husband and I say hello to the residents here, and the people here at San Raphael just ignore us. Lots of empty units. Our lease is up soon, and we're headed back to Jersey.

You should move to a place with more college kids. This is a place for mature adults, not kids.

Hi
I am planning on buying a unit at San Raphael and I just found out about the drywall law suit at Renaissance Commons. Do you know anything about that? Or wether San Raphael has any drywall issues.

Are you sure you want to buy there, there are SO MANY NEGATIVE comments. Check out Villa Lago, my friends love living there.

Happy holidays

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Gemini

You're in a very erratic mood today, making you restless, edgy and nervy. It may be almost impossible to settle to anything for long, because, as Mercury slows, you soon lose interest. If life becomes boring you'll want to liven it up in some way and it's likely you'll choose the most disruptive and controversial option you can think of, even though you know this will cause trouble.
