I am a concerned parent and also friend. Bullying goes on in almost all schools and I know for a fact that Boyertown has a major issue with the Bullying, all my children went to this school and one still goes.
Somehow someway parents and school officials need to get through to all the children no matter what race or ethnic that just because someone is a little different it does not give you the right to bully that person, the same goes with teachers.
They make this big deal about Boyertown being a no place for hate signs all over but they need to open their eyes it is not just a racial thing.
Boyertown needs to realize this is a big issue in the school both in the past and still in the present, I know because I have children who were bullied.

I attended Boyertown High School years ago and bullying was a MAJOR problem then too. I was so glad when that phase of my life was over and I could get away from those who made my life miserable. At the time, bullying did not have the media attention that it has today. Teachers and administrators commented that kids would be kids and pretty much ignored the problem until the bully made THEIR life difficult. Teachers and administrators- please wake up. Our kids are dying because of the mistakes that we continue to make. A 'No Hate' policy is NOT good enough. It may get you a check mark in a box on a form that you submit to the state, but if kids are suffering, what is the point?

I wish Jesse would have believed that things would get better. For others out there, realize that high school is a short time in your life even if it seems like an eternity now. You will never have to see, hear, or deal with those bullies if you don't want to again and the best revenge is success. They may not always say it, but your parents do love you and would be devestated if you were no longer with them. I wasn't always the strongest when I was in high school, but I was strong enough to make it out. Stay strong and survive. It will get better.

Daily Horoscope for June 18

Leo

It's one of those nice days when you feel gregarious and light-hearted, ready to have some fun whenever you get the chance. Ideally, you should arrange to see some friends or do anything else that will make you feel good. It's also a great day for taking part in a group activity, in which case you may be asked to take a starring role, even if it's only for a short time.
