Sucks! Skimpy on the toppings, they'll add as much as every other subway of you'll pay extra.

Do the Patels still own this one and the one on Scottsville Rd? When they took over operation of the latter it became impossible to get a decent amount of toppings on a sub. The people running those 2 locations are cheap bastards.

I agree with most of you. I stopped going tothe l'ville rd subway cause everytime you say something about the skimpy toppings, the daytime lady will say " I just work here and take orders from the owners" and the owners just look at you like you're trying to cheat THEM.

And that sucks because I used to love subway. They are slow ass hell even when nobody is there but you. You would think they would pile on the toppings before they go bad!

When it's time to pay tell them it's too much money for those skimpy sandwiches. If they don't cut you a break or put more veggies on them, turn around and leave.

I've never had a problem. The owner is a really nice man. He owns the Subway in Smiths Grove as well.

I have been going to the Subway on Louisville Road for approximately 3 years and about 2 to 3 times a week. I have never had a problem there. The owners are very nice. Of course, being in the fast food business, some of the employees change. I recommend that location, and if you feel they are skimpy, just let the owners know instead of bashing them on this site.

I've asked for extra veggies before and been told they had to count them out. This was at the Louisville Road location. I left feeling so ashamed that I wanted more peppers...

Please see original comment! They will charge more to add sufficient toppings. The owner was standing there during the exchange. I made a kind request first. Only when it was refused did I go the topix route. Anyway, that's what this site is for.

If I skip on the pickles and banana peppers can I get extra tomatoes? I'm thinking that it's a fair trade.

That is a legit problem with some Subways. Bad management because they make the employees be that way. They count out 1...2...3 pickles. Other Subways that don't have stingy managers grab a handful of pickles and put them on. I get annoyed by the stingy Subways, but I just keep telling them "more." I did have a manager a few years ago hovering over his worker tell me that I'd have to pay extra for more toppings after I asked for more than the skimpy amount on there. I pointed at the sandwiches on the menu and told him that's what they're advertised to look like and that's what he's giving me.
Like somebody else said, if they refuse to make it with a reasonable amount of toppings, you can refuse to pay for it. If it really irks you, call corporate customer service and complain about the specific location.

Subway corporate tells Subway franchises to be stingy. On a 6 inch sandwich you are supposed to have: .75 oz lettuce .75 oz spinach 3 tomatoes 3 cucumbers .5 oz green pepper .5 oz of onions 3 pickles 3 olives 3 jalapenos 3 swipes of sauce That is supposed to be IT. And Subway insists on raising the prices, not the franchisees. Oh, and quit calling one Subway asking for the number for another, there are easily half a dozen owners of the different Subways in town.
