Is it just me, or does the shell fuel in BG burn as shitty as other houchens fuels? Does anyone else think that houchens could possibly selling cheap fuel in place of Shell V-Power? I switched to BP with no issues. I've never had any running issues with my car (boosted 335i) on Shell V-Power until I moved to Boring Green.

Anyone on the inside know how they operate?

I think shell and marathon stations are not selling the real thing in bg. I think shell and maeathon need to know and come test the gas. I saw a tanker fill a minit mart then drive down the road and fill up a shell. Cause minit mart buys their gas from houchens. Its crazy

Shell in bowling green uses the same gas as a shell in Nashville. They get it from the same terminal. As a matter of fact all gas in the area comes from that same terminal its just the additives and they dont typically make any difference in the mpg's your car gets.

Minit Mart buys their gas from Key Oil and most of Houchens' owned stores do too.

The spot price of gasoline on Monday night for Tuesday delivery from Nashville was 3.1294 per gallon out in the ground. Please tell me why it went up only one cent per gallon to the retailer, but the retailers in this town went up and additional 20 cents. Enough is Enough. Houchens controls 85% of all the gasoline retails in Bowling Green. Isn't there a law against this?

Tanker Man can't count!

They run about 20. Minit Mart runs 10 and there is another 15 or so that are run by others.

Well gas in Lexington and Louisville is .20 cents cheaper than BG. This should never happen. Bowling Green is one of the highest cities now in Ky. BS. I do not count Tenn, they do not have a tax. Why is Franklin and Russellville so much cheaper ?

Isn't most of what we pay a gallon of gas really going towards taxes?

Wouldn't that mean you are griping at the wrong people?

What an illogical question! Think about it. You really aren't a rocket scientist.
It's not like Warren County imposes its own separate tax at a rate so much more than other KY counties.
We are getting absolutely ripped off in Warren County. Guarantee you some serious collusion is happening and the state attorney has his head in the sand. Therefore, his a$$ is sticking up!

Exactly. We are getting the same gas Franklin and Russellville is getting. But we are paying more per gallon. The hands are being filled with cash, and the BG residents are paying more for gas. pretty simple really, politicians are on the take, allowing these pricks to rob us at the pumps.
How about that

I get paid more in BG than I did in Franklin for doing the same job.

Explain that.

I checked the PVA office. A store is owned directly by Fred Higgins. 2 are owned by H & H Investment Properties, which is owned by Fred Higgins. The rest are owned by the Girkin Development company, which is owned by Fred Higgins.

Please tell us which Minit Marts you think are owned by Houchens.
