WHAT WERE YOU THINKING YOU ASSHOLE?! He was a baby..hadn't even began to live his life and you just ripped it away from him like it was nothing. I can't believe you would be that HEARTLESS! Yeah, you might have been scared but you could have aimed for the legs or something just to injure him until the cops came. GOD will avenge for the little boy's death. How would you feel if it was your child that got shot instead? You've disturbed the whole community along with the boy's family and friends. I wish for you to see his face everytime you close your eyes for the rest of your long long life.

The kid got what he deserved and the fact of the matter is 15 is no baby. When I was 15, about everyone I knew had lost there virginity, drank alcohol, done drugs, etc. etc. In 3 short years this kid would have been a man. When you look at 18 year olds, that technically is still a teenager, but the police sure don't hesitate one minute to stick them on the sex registry, throw them in prison with criminals twice there age, etc. etc. A 15 year old knows right from wrong as much as any adult. The only thing I can hope is this kid was simply breaking in the home to steal and not hurt anyone. But I find it hard to believe that this kid was there only to steal. He was breaking in the home in the middle of the afternoon when most homeowners are home. He was obviously there to hurt the homeowner and in my opinion he got what he deserved and it rids Bowling Green of one less punk on the street and saves our police from one less criminal to deal with in the future.

It is only going to get worse, the way gas prices are going up, and that is making every thing else go up. this includes the crime rate also. I feal sorry for the family and the boy , But I think a homeowner has the right to protect his own house. This happens all the time here in bowling Green , "Read the paper" There has been several times that women have been woke up and only to find someone in there house, think how scared they were. yes it is bad to have to shoot anyone but they know what could happen before they even do it.

it is awful funny that he had NO weapon (since u say he was there to hurt the homeowner)..and he was MURDERED on the back patio of the home. there were no signs of breaking and entering (no damage to any doors or windows). so something just isn't adding up, now is it?! it would have been different if the bastard woke up and the boy was standing beside his bed with a knife or gun, but he WASN'T. The boy wasn't even inside the home and there were NO signs of forced entry, and this "man" shot to kill, not to harm. So exactly what does that say?

If he was outside his house then he should have not shot him at all , thats the law . he has to be in the house or coming through the door.

Then our world would be rid of two idiots.

The fact however is that he was shot in the back by an animal that was hoping to shoot somebody... I got a message for all you NRA members... Jebo wam ja majku!!!

I think that the police or keystone cops we have here in Bowling Green are kinda glad something like this happenned. We have had a lot of theft as of late and the police here are good at enforcing seat belt laws and catching stupid perpertrators. But they do little if any real investigatory labor. I personally know of two detectives that rose up through the ranks by political means. In other words, they were promoted for what they didn't do right rather than what they did right. Take a look at the WKU story on this. There is a picture of the back of the house. The man obviously shot through the house and through the patio door. He was not in imminant danger and he had options. THIS WAS MURDER. THE MAN HAD BEEN ROBBED SIX MONTHS EARLIER. HE MADE A MENTAL DECISION TO KILL SOMEONE IF HE CAUGHT THEM TRYING TO BREAK IN..........AND DID. THAT IS NOT PROTECTING YOUR HOME......ITS BRINGING MORE TROUBLE ON YOUR HOME. IN THE END.....HIS LEGAL FEES WILL PAY FOR THE HOUSE AND THE CONTENTS AND HE WILL BE LEFT PENNYLESS WITHOUT HIS HOME AND THE DEATH OF A CHILD ON HIS CONSCIENCE IRREGARDLESS OF WHEN OR IF THE KEYSTONE COPS EVER FIGURE OUT THE TRUTH.

Excuse me but I don't think you were there and could possibly know that the victim was shot "execution style". There has been no information as to how or where on the body he was shot as of yet, only speculation and comments from his father who is obviously very distraught (as I would be if my 15 year old were breaking and entering). If someone breaks into my home, I have a right to protect myself and I don't have to wait until they are "standing over me with a gun"....they are breaking the law, trespassing, attempting to rob me and who knows what else, it makes no difference what age he was.

Thomas.. it shows how much you actually know about the BGPD.. to become a detective you don't "rise up through the ranks." Detectives are just another (hardworking) position within the police department and isn't a promotion. I will tell you know.. if someone is coming through my backdoor into my home.. I am not going to stop, check them out to see if they are armed, ask them how old they are, etc. I am going to protect myself, my family and my property. No questions asked. My safety comes first in that type of situation.

John you are mistaken. You do not have to be coming in the door. In KY you have the rightto use deadly force to protect your property, no matter if the person you on the property is armed and no matter if they are inside or out.

I wish for you to see his face everytime you close your eyes for the rest of your long long life. The laws are made to obey. If this were a grown man, no one would have thought twice about him being dead. So instead of blaming the person who obviously felt threatened by an intruder to his home-front, who I'm sure feels terrible about killing a 15yo boy, blame the parents. He was a "baby" and the parents should have known where their son was. I was raised in a very rural town, and know that people have guns, and know what their purpose is. Never would I walk into someone's home in the middle of the night, because I know what could happen. Maybe his parent's should have raised him better. Did you ever think of that?

How would it be if the roles were reversed? if it had been an american child that had been accused of breaking into a non-american household and being shot to death? i do believe the person doing the shooting wouldn't have a chance to say anything, but would automatically be charged with murder and taken straight to jail. i rest my case.

if this was just a mistake, why did mr. mcguire have his lawyer present before the police even arrived on the scene? i guess since he MURDERED a small boy, it was more important to try and save his own a$$ so he called his lawyer to conjur up a story so he could get away with killing someone.
