Grouchy Old Teacher who needs to retire

Bad enough that the school system screws up and puts a first grader on the wrong bus but then a teacher bawls out the poor little kid who is already scared to death! Great going Warren County Schools!

Did u hear this teacher bawl the child out or are you going on hearsay??? Both my kids had this teacher and she is wonderful! She may have been concerned about the child but I don't think she "bawled" them out!!! She is very stern and cares for every child as if they were her own. She is actually retiring in another month and that's very sad because she is such a great teacher! Stop hating on Lost River...it is a great school and I'm very sad my children no longer go there! Maybe If you hate the school so bad, you can put in out of district papers and switch!!! I know she was very concerned about this child or she wouldn't have said anything!

Just write down everything with the date. One parent put a recorder in his child's backpack. Public school workers think they are gods because their jobs are secure no matter what they do.

Let's just put this in perspective for a minute. This was my child, and WCS screwed up all the bus numbers, so it was the county schools to blame. But when my child is getting off of the wrong bus the very first day he has ever ridden a bus, and people are barking at him about getting on the wrong bus the next day when he's already near tears is WRONG. I love this school, but seriously, sometimes teachers need to keep their emotions in check in such a scary situation. I've already spoken to those who need to hear about it, so that's done. And it wasn't only my child who was on the wrong bus, it was several. And 20 minutes of a school trying to locate your child will make you pretty edgy, so loud voices don't help. But it has been handled, so I'm going to say we can just let this one go - for now. Now if my child isn't on the right bus today, the school board will hear about it.

My kid was put on the wrong bus when she was in first grade but a different school. Its messed up. These kids aren't old enough to put the blame on. They get on the bus the adults at school have them get on. It took her school 15 minutes to even realize they put her on the wrong bus. We called cause she didn't get off the bus. They said she had a sub and it broke dowwn and was on its way. Then they said they were on a different bus and would be there in 5 minutes. Then they said her dad called and her put her on a completly different bus. Her dad isn't even around. They finally realized what they did. its very frustrating when you don't know where your kid is and niether do they!
