Can you get in trouble if you are currently filing for disability or if you are collecting disability if you stay in bars and dance?

I know that this is wrong to do, but is it ILLEGAL? thanks i advance.

The only part that could get a person in trouble would be if they were being paid to dance and if so,that would be reported as income. Otherwise, if a person wants to lie and say they cannot work but can stand on their feet and dance, its not illegal. Maybe they could work at the car wash. Its similar motions, standing, moving your arms around, etc.

being on disability does not make it against the law to go to a bar, or the store, or anyplace. what is illegal would be collecting disability for lets say, a bad back, when your back is not bad at all. Dancing would certianly be a way to prove your back is not bad.

The person drawing disability will draw what he paid in. It will not come out of your pocket. He will not be given disability if he does not meet some medical requirements. You can waste your time calling disability, but if you have something against this person it will be quicker to go after them with something else, because disability does not take the time to investigate calls like that.

I don't get it, I know people that get disability and have never worked. They claim that they can't read and have some type of learning disability. So how can you say it won't come out of my pocket? It's certainly not coming from their pocket.

So if someone has paid in $5000.00 in disability when that $5000.00 is up he can't get any more money. No this is not true. If this person is faking they can and should be turned in. If it's SS disability you would have to turn them in to the SS office. If it's worker's comp it would be wise to bring that info to the past employer. Either way a video of them being active is what you want.

With that said not all disabilities are physical problems that one could see easily. But if someone is faking disability and collecting a check then it should be stopped. Good luck. If it's you doing these things get a job.

I am disabled with Neuropathy. It is a leg nerve disease. I can no longer stand or walk for eight hours. This does not mean that if someone films me weedeating my yard I'm out. The social security office told me not to worry about people calling in, they go by medial evidence instead of films by you, or nosey people. I worked for 37 years, and will not live to draw for 37 years is sorta what I meant by it wont come out of your pocket, and I will draw what I paid in. I'll bet my yard and work history looks better than yours, but no, I'm not faking being disabled.

No one said you were faking. You made false statements about only drawing what people put in and I corrected that. And appently your neuropathy is affecting your eyesight because I stated that you can't necessarily see that someone is disabled. And what do you base your yardwork and work history comment on? Do you know my work history? Have you seen my yard? Stupid comment in general. And yes insurance companies actually hire private investigators to tape people who they think are committing fraud. So again wrong. Never said anything about you personally faking anything.

Everyone who receives disability did not work and pay into the system. RSDI is the program in which you have paid into the system and when you become 62, blind or disabled, you begin receiving a monthly check. That would also apply to possibly your children receiving and your spouse, should you become disabled. There is a totally seperate program Supplemental Security Income (SSI) people receive it who have not worked and paid into the Social Security system. Sometimes, people receive from both programs. If your Social Security benefits are not as much as the SSI scale, you receive your Social Security check and an SSI check in the amount of the difference. I'm not sure of the current SSI amount, its something lie $640 a month, so if you are only elig. for $600 in Social Sec. you would receive an SSI check for $40. Thats also the kind of check most disabled kids and refugee's receive if they are disabled.

Actually for people that have not worked it is SSI for the people that worked and paid in it is ssdi. But as far as I am concerned , anyone that can dance which leaves me out , can work. I have fibro and can barely get out of bed and cant draw and for people that goes out and acts like nothing is wrong with them just makes me mad. If you can dance you can work. that is all there is to it. I worked my whole life and most days I am sore all over but cant get what I paid in and then people like this come on here and ask silly questions just goats me. I am taking online courses because I can't do what you do and need to work to pay the bills. Get REal

And one more thing. Social Security looked at what I paid in, and decided what I drew. Not you. You just keep working and paying in so I can get what I paid in for someone else years ago.

I have talked and heard of other people who have run into trouble getting what they paid in. I have sympathy for those like you and them. The ones that draw and dont deserve, or the ones that think no one deserves make me sick. What do they tell you the reason you cant get it? Out of curiousity. And good luck on future attempts, and dont give up. Get a lawyer, but I did not have to.

Again still no answer to your lack of eyesight and reading ability. I used the truth and facts and you called people names because you have nothing to back anything you say up. You sound 12. Good luck with that.

You are really special. All the things you have brought up don't mean anything in regards to what I've said. When responding to someone how about you actually use the things they say to discuss something instead of making things up. Or you could bring up random things that make no sense and call people names. Middle School called you are needed in Special Education. Thanks for playing though

Good luck to you. You sound like someone who actually deserves disability, your case is the reason why disability for some is a good thing. Keep your head up.

A persons disability check is based on what they paid in. I could have made that clearer. We were not talking about insurance companies, so your reading ability is being questioned now. You just keep that job at Dollar Store and pay them taxes.

You may not have been talking about insurance companies but since you didn't start the thread and the person that did didn't say what they were talking about in regards to insurance companies and gov't disability then your opinion on the matter is just that an opinion. And don't worry I might have to get a second job at the dollar store to pay for deadbead junkies like yourself so you just keep taking those pain pills and thinking your not a loser. Your not fooling anyone. And if you can do yard work get a job so hardworking responible people won't have to pick up the slack for your sorry a$$. Now I've spoken about you.
