This isn't any surprise. Most atheists and agnostics were raised by very christian parents so they were christian too. Until they left for university and actually became educated and enlightened about the world around them. Religion is a tool that is used to keep the poor and stupid in line.

What did anything anyone said have anything to do about changing the world? Or change anything? They didn't.

Religion shows phycological weakness, its just a defense mechanism for ppl that can't handle the fact that nothing happens when you die.

The world to change? You do know that other countries laugh at the silly bible toting Americans right? You do know that in most countries there is absolutely nothing wrong with homosexuality and most countries (including America) have openly gay political leaders?

We are a nation that when judgement day comes, the lord will have a heavy hand and it will be because of A holes like you. America is not most countries as you speak of, we are at the top. If nothing was wrong with homosexuality than one sex would have been put on earth.

I have a full rounded life that involves more than work, church, tv, sleep. There is more out there, if you would look off the tip of your nose, you would see a great big world out there. I don't use a computer except at work, I have an iPhone for everything else. I don't know what you meant by your last word, owned, but slavery ended a long long time ago. You people are no where smarter than Christians, the dumbest Christian has the lord, atheist has an empty head and heart. Good day.

An atheist makes a post on a web forum once in a while, which actually doesn't say anything about their beliefs, simply stating something they saw a study for...but I know christians really detest scientifically based statements of fact. Most of the responses are written so poorly that you are showing how likely it is that this study is legitimate. All you faithful followers of christ are so quick to jump on him and go into attack mode, making all kinds of ridiculous remarks and passing out insults, condemning everyone to hell when that's certainly not your job. Even disregarding the very improbable chance that your beliefs are founded in reality, the example that you are setting for religious types is enough to make me never want to step foot in a church again. Have you read the bible? I have. Turn the other cheek, do unto others, don't be a hateful douche (ok that last one really should have been in there). I can't say I've seen atheists or homosexuals openly protest religion, but remind me again how long the line was for "Chikfila Appreciation Day"? You spread hate without a second thought, you are so detrimental to your own cause.
