Below are links to articles at some major news agencies but I'll give you the lowdown...

"Krokodil" (Desomorphine):
1. Called "Krokodil" because it turns flesh gang green/scaly and destroys body parts with every injection.
2. Russia leads the world in addicts with around 100,000.
3. DEA expects this to hit the United States.
4. 8-10 times more potent than morphine.
5. Costs just a few dollars per batch.
6. Addicts can easily make it themselves.
7. 2-3 months of usage turns flesh gang green and scaly.
8. 1-2 years of usage causes skin and underlying "meat" to literally fall off the addict's bones. It rots their brain and turns them in to a brain dead, "zombie" like, walking corpse.

# 3 is most likely a scare tactic, codeine is not OTC in the U.S. like it is in Russia. So I don't see it becoming a problem here. Also this is not a new drug it was first synthesized in the 1930's in the U.S. It is desmorphine. The reason krokodile causes so much damage is it is unrefined and impure. The people cooking it use recipes of unknown quality found online, Low grade solvents and inject it with out filtering the end product of impurities. The headlines of a new drug epidemic are typical media hype. Not to negate the horror and suffering of the people using this drug.

Drug abuse is the best example of survival of the fittest. I don't feel sorry for anyone STUPID enough to do this drug, and I don't feel a bit sorry for them when they die. All they do is suck up resources that could best be spent elsewhere, like placing the children of this trash in a better home.

When the flesh starts to fall off the rotting junkies - they will be able to give their pet dogs meaty treats while they wander around the town

Oh yeah. If it's on YouTube it's just GOTTA be real.

C'mon people, start questioning shit instead of just buying into something.

A lot of us are asking WHO ON EARTH would do this to themselves, and THAT is the right question to be asking.

NO ONE is gonna take something that does this.

Did it ever occur to anyone that in an ever-evolving culture that is now constantly questioning the issue of the illegality of drugs -- and for that matter, questioning the very governments that are hellbent on lording control over all facets of our existence -- that this would somehow get those blind, scared little "sheep" that are still in the pasture all in an *uproar* over this scary new drug development?

OH MY GOD, this drug TURNS PEOPLE INTO ZOMBIES, LITERALLY!!!

GOVERNMENT PLEASE ISSUE *MORE* LEGISLATION IN ORDER TO SAVE US FROM OURSELVES.

PLEASE KEEP TAKING OUR RIGHTS AWAY ONE CHIP-OF-THE-CHISEL AT A TIME.

This is a scam. Being perpetrated once again by the very entity that the people of this world trust most: The MEDIA.

WAKE-UP FELLOW HUMANS!!!

Wake-up before it's too late...

Straif, you're probably the most retarded person I've ever seen on the internet. Hard drugs were originally used as "WMD" in ancient times. Look at opiates in the Middle east. Way before BC.

Wake up, drugs like these are to wipe out population. Addiction is lethal.
