You were on the North end of the Bypass in front of Kroger in the left lane. A car came up behind you with hazards on and honking the horn. You,(the idiot) slam on your brakes. This happens THREE times and you do not get over. She had to pass you in the right lane when she finally got the opportunity and turned off at the Medical Center. She had a bleeding passenger with cuts all over his face, arms, and hands. She was in a panic and you just made it worse by being a cun+! Next time something like this happens, don't be such as ass. Get over! You nasty bi+ch, you turned right on Old Louisville Road anyway.

#1 - If the injured party was that bad off you should have called an ambulance, or at the very least called the police and asked for an escort. #2 - Your flashers and honking horn are a far cry from that of emergency personnel. In fact such activities would only induce panic in any driver you encounter in your journey. #3 - Please don't blame the general public for your lack of knowledge of what to do in an emergency. Of course I hope your patient turned out to be ok considering the injuries sustained, but your anger and hostility toward other drivers during your moment of panic are both uncalled for and most likely not warranted.

What if the person was bleeding so badly there was not time to make phone calls and wait for emergency personnel to drive to that location? If I was just down the road from the hospital and my loved one was bleeding profusely, I might just throw their ass in the car and drive them myself. You don't know the exact circumstances of the situation so you shouldn't judge. You're just being a selfish know-it-all and your judgement could make it even more difficult on the family.

If you can show me somewhere it is written that a motorist with flashers on and honking the horn is taught to drivers as being an emergency vehicle I will retract my previous statement. I also believe I wished the victim well. My post was not to provoke ignorance (which is what brought you here), it was to point out the obvious facts. It's almost as ridiculous as taking the law into your own hands. If this emergency had ended in an accident with you and your vehicle do you think your insurance company is going to say "Oh, she had her flashers on and was honking the horn? Everyone knows that's the universal sign of an emergency, you should have yielded!" NOT!! The only time I have ever seen such activities the person was drunk! Then to come here and rant about the events is a complete different story! But the simple facts are that flashers and a honking horn are in no way a legal or suggested sign to get out of someone's way. The funny thing is, when your flashers are on your blinkers are disabled!! How was the Dodge suppose to know you we're turning??

I would think it would be common sense if someone has flashers on and are honking wildly to just move out of the way. Especially considering you are right beside a hospital! Heaven forbid we use our thinkers! I hope everyone is okay.

This is the problem with our society, people can't have a discussion without bringing useless unnecessary information into the subject. My sexual activity and preference has nothing to do with this situation, so the inbred comment was completely pointless. Fact is, I AM law enforcement! Flashing lights and honking horn are nothing but traffic hazards in a moving vehicle! I have wished the patient well and hope that everything turned out ok. But the fact remains there was no violation by the Dodge truck! Being by a hospital has nothing to do with it. When flashers are on other drivers cannot see when you turn your blinker on! Honking the horn in addition to that only spreads panic to other drivers! If you can't reply and stay within the bounds of this topic and not make useless remarks that reflect your character, please keep your thoughts to yourself, or start a thread called "Name calling and other childish behavior"!

I agree with "mediator", there is the potential for very helpful information, support, advice, etc. on this website. It seems there always has to be those who have to take the conversation in a totally bizarre direction. Those are the ones that I feel should stay off the internet.

I apologize for the, "inbred" comment, got caught up in the moment. I do however think that with the flashers and honking horn anyone with common sense would know that something is up. It's not rocket science out here. Accept my apology please.

Apology accepted, thank you for manning up! Unfortunately what is common sense to most is only a daydream to some. I make my living observing cars and drivers and if you want to understand why this particular event happened the way it did its pretty simple. Next time you're out driving around for whatever reason, look at the other drivers around you. Males are somewhat focused on driving for the most part, at least their facial expression appears that way. Female drivers on the other hand are much different. If a female has someone in the car she's smiling and talking, if she's on the phone she's smiling and talking. If she is alone in the car with nothing but the radio she looks pissed. I am saying nothing about driving skills, but watch and you'll see.

I could only imagine what you see but can't be that much wilder than what I see driving across Bowling Green to Logan county everyday and back. As for driving skills. How do some of these people get their license? Some of these people couldn't drive a stob up a goats ass with a 5 lb sledge hammer.

If this person had FL lisence plates, maybe they didn't realize they were near a hospital. No its not a small hospital but with FL plates, they obvuously aren't from here. And if they were close enough to the hospital to drive crazy through traffic honking with flashers on, it would have been more efficent to call for an ambulance. At the least, the EMT's could have helped keep him alive on the way to the hospital. And I have witnessed several residents of BG with just as much stupidity not to move over when possible or stop at intersections when hearing any kind of sirens....firetruck, ambulance, or police. Any of these sirens could mean someones life is in danger. And people still fail to move. A honking vehicle with blinking lights could mean numerous things.

I was in 309 from 8/01-12/01. Are you a police officer or just claiming to be in law enforcement. I know some jailers that think they are in law enforcement. I'm just trying to figure out your qualifications. I no longer work in the field. I ended up in law school, but I did do some accident reconstruction courses before with Terry Runner at the Department of Criminal Justice Training. Hazard lights can also be used to indicate a general emergency. Especially when on route to a medical facility, or other emergencies. Have you ever given a 10-14 to a civilian who was speeding with their hazards on after you ascertained their reasonIng for driving over the limit.

Okay, they shouldn't have kept hitting the breaks, but there have been many drunkards and road ragers who honk, have on emergency flashers, etc. Your vehicle was not an emergency one, the person isn't psychic. If there was time for you to be stupid behind the wheel, there was time for you to wait for an ambulance. First, they could have been there giving appropriate first aid faster than you got there, despite your belief you are a speed god. Then, with your friend being cared for my trained personnel, they ride in an emergency vehicle that can speed, have cars pull over, and even go through red lights. I swear, I hope your passenger is okay despite your careless actions. Crazy, crazy, crazy.
Your crazy, narcissistic self will probably lemon this too. Sorry if your stupidity isn't recognized by the sane populace.
