This is good, except what good does it do when the school or schools in this area don't shut the school down when a case is reported like other schools in MN? Closed and disinfected for a couple of days. Had this been done to begin with the spread of H1N1 might have been contained a little better, don't you suppose? Every precaution should have been taken on day one. It still should be done right now. Will all the schools take action when one of the kids die? Wake up Grand Rapids!

If you are sick or one of your kids STAY HOME! What part of this don't you understand? Parent's should be taking all their children's temps and their own daily before they go out in the community and start speading this disease.

I just noticed something...this headline topic came up under Grand Rapids, MN topix.net . The story was from Grand Rapids, Michigan!!! I should have known, because I doubt any Grand Rapids, MN schools are keeping track of anything except that maybe 6 out of 24 students are sick with something.
Figures.

These Topix discussions would be more interesting if you could stop being so negative all the time. Everything you write is condemning of others. You must be the sole perfect human-being in this imperfect world. I would love to meet you since you are so flawless that you have the right to judge others so. I will not be signing on to Topix any more.

Hey "Busy Mom" and "Jean" you BOTH sound like you have guilty consciences! I spoke the truth, and you don't like it. Too bad. I didn't say I was perfect, but dammit when I'm sick I stay home just like the CDC says to do so I don't go around spreading it to others. Itasca County people need to WAKE UP!!! And, I don't care if you like what I post or not! You two are nothing the buy the same old "citizens for willful ignorance club". I don't see either of you offering any positive input or solutions to some very serious problems, only just to try to shut me up! Good try girls, but forget it. There's ALOT of negative going on around here and I'm responding to it, if you don't mind.

I agree with Jean and Busymom! I have read these for a while now. Everything by "CMofGRMN" is nasty and judgemental. Someone should report her to the moderator to be removed so we can have positive and PRODUCTIVE conversations on here about real GR issues. Complaining, blaming, and condemning others for disagreeing with you is not constructive. Perhaps she needs to find a different outlet for her anger.

Funny thing that the only time any of the last three of you have ever posted a thing on here has to be about bashing me and trying to shut me up! HA! What a joke. Are you AWARE that now it's half of the classes in this town that have kids out sick? You better be more concerned if you have children. I am so p.o.'d about what goes on around this town, that I'm moving to Idaho where there hasn't ever been and is not now having the kind of problems that we have been seeing around here. Maybe when you end up having to go by ambulance for the first time in your life to the local ER (and thank GOD, they did do a great job and I really have to thank them too)because you have a horrible upper respiratory infection from some bacteria running around here, then you'll understand what I'm angry about. I was previously misdiagnosed twice within the month of Oct. Wake up people!

You are probably the same ones that tried to run the editor off of here too. I'll shut up when I move away from here. Until then stay deaf, dumb and dumber and stupider, and blind all you want. Ignorance is bliss for all three of you now isn't it?

FYI usually the headline for an area topix is about that area.

HA! HA! HA! This is the extent of your positive comments? Oh! Then there is the one word "YMCA" on another topic.

You can have your petrie dish of virus' and bacteria and inbreds and meth labs and corruption, and the world's worst drivers and all the other wonderful aspects of life here in good old Grand Rapids, MN. Don't worry Miss Jean, the rest of the state is aware of how it goes here. And, anybody that has the misfortune of moving here, sees it. Only a totaly TWIT like yourself would find any of it "normal".

I will be enjoying myself and laugh my A off, everytime I look back and think about how living here was. And, that won't be too often that I will even give much thought about how it was to live here. You are MORE THAN welcome to have it, because it all is so YOU!
