Bountiful Residents at Odds with Surging Deer Population

Killing the deer isn't going to solve the problem. The problem is people live in their winter range. They have been here long before people ever have. It is up to us to coexist with them!!

I have lived in Bountiful for over 10 years and it has just gotten bigger and bigger. It is time for us to protect what is left of our little herds that roam our streets in peace. They aren't eating our shrubs and flowers to make us mad but rather to live and survive. It's bad enough they have to survive the bitter cold, poachers and now people who have way too much time on their hands manicuring the yards in a desert. Wake up people, you aren't the only species on this planet. Stop acting like it!!

The deer population isn't the problem. It's ours. People act like they're superior to other living things. Because of that, nature and wildlife are diminishing. We are killing this planet's natural resources by taking over the natural habitats of these animals and forcing them up higher elevations where temperatures are harsh and food is scarce, then we kill them with our cars, pollution, or for mere sport. Nobody likes to have their homes invaded, yet that's what we're doing to the wildlife. They were here first and we depend on them. STOP PROCREATING.
