Full story: LA Daily News

It's been nearly two months since a 64-inch water main burst under Coldwater Canyon Avenue and unleashed tens of thousands of gallons of water through nearly a dozen nearby Ventura Boulevard shops.

So much for swift action, maybe with some left over money from the elephants new structure at the zoo you might get some help,GOOD LUCK. What idiot decides who gets help and when the elephants get a new home.Let the elephants go and help the people for once.

Pain Quotidien rules. I can't wait for it to reopen. Note to the reporter and fact-checkers, it is a Belgian chain, not French. Not that we can expect accuracy from the Daily News.

Anyone want to bring up the possibility that our city's ridiculous unscientific watering policy may have caused all the water main breaks? Seems like an odd coincidence that all these water mains start breaking soon after enforcement of the watering policy began.

How much water gets wasted when a main breaks? How many tax dollars were lost by the closing of all these businesses on Ventura?

Good job LA City Council. Now on to important stuff, like kitty cat claws.

I just drove today and confirm these businesses are still closed and often empty
It's amazing all these cute businesses are still closed, it sucks, this was one of the, possibly THE, cutest and most elegant part of sherman Oaks. it was the upscale signature of the southern SFV.
(i wish the water break occured north, in 'mexico', not here, the absolute worst part of SFV to damage)
i miss Pain Quotidien the most, i hope they put back the walls soon, and it reopens soon, before the sunny days are gone

I know if you ever sell/buy a house, or if you have a renter that is vacating, rather than turn the water off (due to the force of the water pressure coming through the lines once it has been turned back on) that the water is kept on! Especially if your pipes are old~and I am a Non Einstein.

Once again, the Valley doesn't get the attention it deserves from the city. Our roads are horribly potholed, the traffic lights go out more often than seems necessary, you can't walk on a sidewalk without staring down to avoid the uprooted concrete. When do we start the secession talk again? I'm in!

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Leo

You're really on the ball today so there's no danger of anyone tricking you or fobbing you off with lame excuses. If you suspect that a loved one is hiding something from you, you'll want to question them in a lot of detail. That's all very well but try not to turn it into the third degree, nor to make them feel hounded or bullied by your desire to know what's going on.
