I had a horrible experience in the Sagebrush Restaurant. When I called to complain however I was completely ignored. I was treated like I am the only person to ever have a problem with this restaurant. Has anyone else had any problems or was this just a bad day and I should try again?

every time we eat there is gets worse each time, we got a sirlion steak and it looked like it had been put through a tenderizer 10 times to make it bigger and it made it like a hamburger steak instead of a sirlion, I think they are trying to cut cost, but its not working for them

LOL! I got a filet... It resemebled a filet but was tough as shoe leather!!!!! My major complaint is with the lady manager... She was extremely RUDE! She pretty much informed me that this is her store and she runs it as she sees fit and that if I wasn't satisfied to go somewhere else! So much for times gone by that "The customer is always right!"

Stop going to trashy chain restaurants like Sagebrush and maybe you wouldn't have experiences like this, lol. In my experience, most all of the "restaurants" that are chains around here are gross...Applebee's..all the way to Outback....the worst is Beef's.
Eat at decent local spots and eateries/restaurants that are locally owned and operated instead of the same disgusting chain spot that serves food out of a box that they've microwaved. |

I've tried Sagebrush twice within the last 12 months and regretted both trips. Where to start? Poor management with no oversight or guidance for the waitstaff. Food is "fair" at best. Steaks are very cheap cuts, what you would expect to buy at Walmart. Chicken was overcooked and dry as the desert. Best part of the experience was walking out the door.

Peddler, Table at Crestwood, Gamekeeper, keep traveling and go up to Hearthstone (technically BE, but in between Boone/BE), there's plenty more, but you'd have to drive further. I would advise getting out and away from the chains and you should have a decent experience.

They used to be a pretty good place to eat, but they have seriously gone downhill in the last few years. We ate at the Hearthstone last Sunday; it was excellent. Really busy because of the holiday but the food was exceptional... there were nine people at our table and all were happy with their meal. |

I have also had bad experinces there. Sometimes it's great other times not worth a hoot.

TRY MIKADO'S, HAD A FILET WITH MY TABLE-SIDE CHEF DINNER AND WAS AWESOME.... I CONCUR, SAGEBRUSH (LENOIR & BOONE)IS PONDEROSA/FAMILY STEAK QUALITY AT BEST. |

Sagebrush salads are some of the freshest available, premade. Thankfully, that's been my experience.
Lenoir had a fantastic bartender. A little brown haired girl named sara, maybe. She alone was worth a trip but now they screwed that up n moved her to catering. |

If your going to go out and get a steak.... Who wants a cheap sirlon. Do it right.... The Peddler Steak House might cost a little more but with a Peddler card 2 can eat for the price of 1. Just drive by the Peddler in Boone anytime after 5pm and open your window - Smell that and your will be sold....

I quit going to Sagebrush years ago, all for the reasons described here. Would never go there again. Peddler is the best steak I've eaten in the high country. Local restaurants are the best.
