I think you are praising Bonne Terre because you live there. If you're so happy why even move to Terre Delacc? You have got to be joking what are people sopposed to do about Bonne Terre's water problem??Even 100 people couldn't do anything about that situation.Do you realize what it would consist of.. it's the CITY's problem to fix and the people of Bonne Terre are the ones who suffer.Do you really think people are sopposed to shell out money from their own pockets in this economy,to fix a problem that should have been addresed long time ago??Thats the only thing thats going to change that problem.They contacted a company so now what??Keep sending out letters.Most people who live in Bonne Terre and rent don't stay long.The city picks up trash once a week??In the summer time that causes a public hazard.Didn't they know those mines were going to run empty someday leaving a toxic wasteland of lead infested property.Look at all these other towns around here they are so much better off than BT.Until someone decides to come off whats really going on there it's just going to get worse.It's my belief money is being embezzled or stolen.Think about it every home is paying a $500 tax bill every year,the water Co. gets $50 from every house every month,federal money,state funds and the court house generating revenue from fine and tickets.The few employees employed there don't make much either.Something is wrong there and it's not just the mines.

HAHAHA, isnt that the truth, but you know what, nothing will ever be done about it. The reason is because the ones doing it is the ones running it. So nothing will ever be done. Bt has alot of money going in, but broke and cant fix nothing. I dont understand why because theres never nothing done here to fix problems, so where is all the money going. The pool needs fixed but instead lets build more ball fields that we do not need, and make sure the city manager is paid enough and his family is taken care of, and lets not forget about the under paid people who work inside but has all nice stuff and brand new everything, not because they make over 9 bucks an hour but because bt money is going in their pockets and nothing is being done about it. The people who defend them are the ones kin to them or friends. Its crazy about the water to, thats our health, but no they dont care. I dont know if its possible, but have you ever noticed all the new cancer in bt but years ago you hardly heard of it, maybe because of the water??? Instead lets make a big soccer field and foot ball field we dont need, you know thats what the schools are for, wouldnt that saved some money???? And the city officials spending alittle more on themselves, gotta make sure they have it all. The sidewalks are horrible, but its the citizens who are suppose to have them fixed, but since when am i gonna pay to have a nice sidewalk so the city of bt who is ripping me off can look nice. why would i help a town out who is screwing all their citizens. I want to buy a house, but guess what, it wont be in this trashy little town. NO WAY. I rather buy in a better town where they do things for their citizens.

Yes it is run down, big time. Have you noticed how many druggies there are now, and how bad the buildings are starting to look and the streets. Ever notice how Deslodge gets alot of drug bust and criminals off the streets, but in Bonne Terre you can watch drug deals and nothings done. You can even tell the cops and they walk away. This town is going down quickly. Its ashame to, the mines and all that being here and how it use to be a nice place to live.
