Well,they keep saying jesus christ and all,but nowhere does it say in the bible to destroy everything else or anyone for that matter,geesh what is our children getting into these days,I blame alot on society and parents,you have to keep a close eye on your kids,even though u cant be with them all the time,but at least know who they hang out with.I think alot of these kids need more discipline in their lives,but these kids these days have no respect for themseleves or anynone else for that matter,to them its a game......

i've watched these spoiled kids running around this city going to bars and parties starting drama and ruckus cause they can't find anything else better to do. get a new hobby besides crashing peoples fun and taken u-locks to girls heads. real beat up women, you know? its just sad that it has taken this long for them to get caught. at least something is finally being done about it

Its amazing how you guys are allowed to just tell complete lies and publish them. All of this information is false and world war crew is nothing more than a group of friends the police use to place blame on all white crime in Richmond. They have no religious affiliation at all, most of them are not from the west end at all, and obviously the things on facebook are just jokes and the post on craigslist are just random people posing as them to be funny. This is pathetic and very weak and just goes to show that the media will publish anything for a good story.

This story is 100% accurate. My friends and I have gotten into numerous altercations with these cowards. If you have been to parties in the Richmond fan area you'd most likely have run into these guys. They are dirty fighters that can only fight people when they are drunk or outnumbered. They use bricks, brass-knuckles and any other cheap weapons they can get their hands on. These kids are a joke, and I hope they get what's coming to them.

Wow! This used to go on back in the 90's with another "straight edge" crew named H804. I'm glad to see this World War Crew has such an original idea. It will all change once they turn 21. I lived the 80's and 90's "hardcore scene". I've seen it all. I hate to tell this kids, but you missed it. Hardcore and straight edge is over. Move on to something else that is productive and original.

These guys are a nuisance to society. Their parents need to take responsibility for not raising them better. Or take responsibility for their issues, which they threw on the kids.

this article is a joke if you knew the dudes. everything that was quoted from facebook or craigslist is kind of a joke, if you cant read/get the context then you wouldn't understand.

This just shows how fucked up the police are. The news is just saying what the police tell them. The police are just trying to ruin these kids lives because they are lazy and bored. They could be doing real things but they are just way to stupid. Just because an alternative white kid beat you up doesnt mean they are in WWC, they probably aren't even straight edge either...

Sadly, this article and much of the hearsay about straight edge and World War Crew are just cases of misinformation. Drinking, doing drugs or anything of that sort aren't an issue for those guys or mostly anyone else who is straight edge. I can't speak for everyone and there are a few people who take it way to far but for the majority of people, world war crew included, straight edge is a personal choice. I can say with confidence that anyone assaulted by someone/a group of people claiming to be straight edge or world war crew was assaulted not because they were drunk, or on drugs, or smoking. Whether you believe it or not, it's the truth. These rumors come from college kids attending parties who either had no knowledge of what occurred, or are victims of the assault placing the blame on another group of people to avoid having to be accountable for their own actions. I'm not saying the victims are to blame and the others are justified in their actions, but any fights/assaults that occur are a result of "boys being boys" or some type of miscommunication between the two parties. Fights happen, especially at college between men. It happens. I've seen frat dudes beat up on people just the same but no one ever calls them a gang. There's a lot of hype surrounding World War Crew that comes from stories, hearsay, fake internet posts, or misinformed college kids. How about focusing on the more pressing issues this city is facing? It's also a sad day in journalism when a reporter resorts to internet rumors to report a story.

I think this is all a bunch of muck stirred from the bottom of the information barrell because there was nothing violent going on in Richmond that day for the media to make us fear. How about posting something uplifting for a change when there is a shortage of murders/stabbings/shootings/be atings. Just an idea.
