How many of you so called experts of this case were actually there when this supposed offer of a ride occurred? I think the obvious answer is none of you presuming and judging were there.
So just exactly where do you get off judging, pointing fingers and trying to convict someone based on your ignorant positions? How shallow and cowardly to keep your name hidden while throwing out allegations as facts when you have not one thing to support your claims.

On to the points of this discussion. A simple answer could end this discussion.
Did he have the consent of the girl's parents before he tried to lure her into his truck?
If not, it's clear that he's in violation of the law as listed below.
A few other points, he said that it was freezing cold, but the weather was verified and that was proven not to be true.
His name is currently not on the schedule but the case is still open. The delays are because the judge has some doubt if he is mentally fit to stand trial. All of this is public record and available to anyone that asks. His next trial date is set for Aug 24, 2012.
Oh, and let's not forget that the address George gave to the police for his residence isn't even close to where he's accused of trying to pick the girl up.

Have known George Smith for over 50 years. He is kind hearted and has always gone out of his way to assist others. Many who know him would attest to that. He is also eccentric at times as those who know him will also attest. He served a tour in the US Marines as a Combat Helicopter Mechanic in Vietnam and after his tour he returned to the combat zone to continue servicing Helicopters for our military for a private contractor. He spent many additional years in the Marine Reserves.
What a heinous accusation and conviction of someone before all the issues have been presented in front of a judge. George’s misjudgment of the possible negative implications were over powered by his desire to assist what he perceived to be a lost child in jeopardy of being harmed. George has always been a close friend to me and my children and provided guidance and inspiration to them to pursue their careers, as well as children of many of his friends.
Without a doubt, child molesters and kidnapers need to be extracted from our society and incarcerated. Parents should do all in their power to prosecute those who prey on their children. We live in a troubled society today.
It is most discourteous and ignorant to smear someone with negative unrelated comments that have nothing to do with the issue at hand or George’s character. We have a wonderful judicial system in this country that George and many others have so valiantly served to protect. Allow him his day in court.
How many will comment after George is exonerated?
