Nice to see things are so slow that we can go after kids spraypainting grafitti. It is a crime and an eyesore. You have to wonder if we need to pay people 100k+ for this though.

i agree. don't give them jail time. make them scrub clean the graffiti they created so you can't see it. after a couple of days of doing that they'll learn their lesson. Good! Now lets get rid of the section 8 housing that I'm sure most of these so called youths come from.

I'm not one to jump on the cops lotto-winning salary bandwagon, but I'm glad to see them going after low-life punks that devalue the property in our neighborhoods. As a homeowner, I say thank you SCPD.

mastic, shirley, brentwood. All of our finest areas represented. I don't agree with the 'make them clean it up' nonsense. Make them pay to have the places professionally repainted, and let them do some real time.

Thank You Suffolk County Police Department. Visting that area to shop and see the recent destruction was sad, hopefully a large sentence by the DA will be handed down.

Thank You SCPD Visiting that area to shop? You are kidding aren't you??? By the way, the judge will hand down a sentence not the DA. What's with the 36 year old? OOOPS, I forgot, it's Mastic, Shirley etc. He's a 7th grade classmate of the others.

Whatever happened to the people who live in the nieghborhood dealing with the kids who live there? Sounds like what we have here are a bunch of cry babies who want to call the cops everytime a kid throws a rock or lights off a firecracker. We had one on my block when I was growing up, I know the type. This type of stuff is handled amoung the parents on my block. Your the same jerks who arrest 16 yr old girls for text messages. So go on call the cops and peer out from your curtain.

Glad to hear about these arrests. Go to Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx and you'll see towns who have given up trying to put a stop to this. It just takes a focused effort by police & the community to stop kids from doing this. If you don't, then pretty quickly this eyesore is everywhere.

Graffiti is a huge crime when you think of the ramifications it can cause. The downgrading of property values. The infestion of crime and squalor associated with graffiti also the damage done to the property being vandalized. These youths should be punished by having to clean theirs and others graffiti and if caught again , hard time.
