I know exactly who you're talking about. Short guy - E9, retired 98 or 99? Yeah, I was still there then too and I remember something about it but didn't know all this was going on. What a d***** bag! Didn't somebody turn him in to JAG? Isn't that why he was thrown out?

So now he's a poor divorced slob like the rest of us, huh?

Kind of sounds like my brother in law, too, only at least he didn't threaten to shoot her or tell everybody she was a whore when they broke up.
Personally, I'm a one woman man. Any takers out there? I don't cheat, I don't lie, I don't shoot women, I don't call them names, I'm STD free (and patient). I'm just a retired Joe, 50 something, reasonable good looking, and not rich but enough to live on.

Did this guy ever use safe sex? Somebody who cheated for that long, especially if it was long distance, had to have been running around with others too. Sounds like he didn't care what disease he brought home or who he hurt.
It's not just a matter of being unfaithful. It's a matter of putting other people's lives at risk along with their feelings and emotional well being.
Guys like that are sick.
Not a joke to me. Not at all.

I am laughing at the idiot that cheated with a married man. Spare me the lecture.

Don't tell me you didn't have a HINT that he was cheating? Come on..

My sympathy that you are HIV positive. You can have him jailed for that, you know. It's against the law.

Yes, I agree, men that cheat are sick and have no regard for the ones they hurt. Throw the bum in jail. That is where he belongs if he gave you HIV.

Take care. I wish you the best. I am truly sorry you are hurting.((((((((HUGS)))))))

I cheat too. So what? Doesn't everyone - at least every man? Let's face it, guys, we were made to wander. I love my wife and don't want to see her hurt but she's pretty straight laced and I just want to have fun. Some women are fun in bed. Some women are a real drag.

The cheater story that started this forum is probably about some guy whose wife was straight laced too. I can understand and empathize with his cheating.

HOWEVER, I would never cheat with someone I cared about all those years and then lack the guts to stand up for her. This guy isn't just a cheater, he's a coward. Anyone can read between the lines and know that he cared about this other woman to be with her that long. He had to have just called her a whore so his wife wouldn't take him to the cleaners financially.

That's a cowardly low life thing to do.

If he was in the military all those years he must have seen some combat. Where did he see it - hiding somewhere or running the other way? Must be. This guy is obviously nobody's hero.

He's a shameful disgrace to his uniform, I'd say.

The guy you people are talking about is a retired CSM Harry Vogel. I remember when the army asked him to leave. He used to be a friend, and now he's a disgrace to his uniform, as the previous person said. I can't believe that woman took him back. She wrote this long letter to the army, mailed to the commander and then to JAG, telling about all the lies he had told and how he'd played his wife for a complete fool - and the other woman too.

The bastard wouldn't even admit anything.

What bothered me the most was his story that his wife was dying of cancer. Can you imagine going around saying that about somebody you are supposed to love? He went from being somebody I trusted, respected and admired to someone I felt nothing but loathing and shame for.

Then when he talked his poor wife into taking him back she later developed breast cancer and almost died for real.

What a pig. What a loathsome human being. He should never have been allowed to wear a uniform.

Holy s--t! that guy acted like he was god's gift to Uncle Sam, always so righteous and so perfect. You mean to tell me he was screwing around on his old lady all that time? What a hypocrite. He's still in town, isn't he? I think he's some low life insurance dirt bag. he used to go on to Fort Jackson and try to sell some expensive plan to all the recruits until the army through him off. So that's what really happened, huh? wow!

Please, no names. This is a guy who threatens to shoot people when he doesn't get his way.

Yep, life insurance. He was trying to rip off E1s and E2s, the soldiers who didn't know any better and didn't have the money to lose. just so he could line his own pockets. at least Fort J has seen the last of him. What a scum bag.

I've been watching this conversation for a long time. I keep waiting for somebody to step in and say, "hey wait you guys, here's the other side of the story. this guy is my friend."

I'm beginning to think there is no other side and he has no friends.

I guess you all are right. He must be scum.

If that's true you can go to jail for giving somebody HIV what about this pig everybody is talking about. Can he be forced to get tested for STD? And can the results be publicized? He obviously runs around and he's certainly not about to turn into a faithful human being. Or even a human being at all from the sounds of it. If his wife can't keep him in line at least someone should make sure his actions aren't killing people. besides the guns he pulls on people, I mean.

He's not divorced. His wife took him back, believed or pretended to believe his latest pack of lies once again I guess. I know them - well, actually, my friend works with her and she's told me a lot about it. I don't know him - just heard about him. After the army kicked him out his reputation is kind of scandalous with a lot of military.

I think she just feels after her breast surgery that she can't do better. She's never learned how to live without some man taking care of her and she's afraid. It's too bad. Women get stuck so many times thinking they don't deserve better or can't do any better and they get stuck with these creeps. Nice women who are much better and more honest and loving and monogamous than these b******s act so subservient. It hurts to watch.

My cousin was that way. Her husband lied and cheated and ordered her around and she took it and took it and took it just because he brought home a great paycheck and did all the plumbing and home improvement work she didn't know how to do. Made me sick to watch.

I know what you mean about women who stay with abusive men. It's an old old pattern. The woman doesn't believe in herself, doesn't think she can make it on her own and so she tells herself the relationship is better than being alone.

This ex-army guy doesn't physically abuse his wife does he? This guy is just emotionally abusing both women, right? I'm not suggesting that's not sometimes as bad. I'm just asking if she is in danger of losing her life or limbs because she's too weak to leave. That would be a shame. She should get help.

And though I surely don't condone having an affair with a married man this woman allegedly loved this man, was with him all these years, believed all his lies and underwent terrible abuse from him herself. But at least she seems strong and able to take care of herself. And much more self-confident. Of the two of these women she seems the only one strong enough to stand up and say, "I'm not taking your s**t any longer. Good for her.

Now if the wife could get some counseling and learn to like herself and find some strength to find a new life and maybe even a decent, honest, loving, faithful man.

I guess your spelling is a goof - I hope you're not as dumb as you sound.

But to answer you, the word image is the key. If someone ACTS tough it's one thing. But when they turn out to be cold, unfeeling jerks who only care about themselves and hurt other people to protect their own money and their own skin then normal healthy women abhor them.

women who stay with these jerks are not normal healthy women. If this turkey we've been talking about is not divorced yet - if his wife actually took him back - then she's not normal or healthy. Maybe the guy didn't hit her but he certainly abused her over and over again.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aries

Christmas Eve finds you happy and eager to get the most out of the day. You're in a rather sentimental mood, so if you've got time you'll relish the chance to watch a favourite film, especially if it means you've got to get out the hankies. A friend's kindness or sensitivity will delight you - and make you wonder how you can reciprocate.
